Dominion, doth hereby consent to the assignment by Wallace Jacentho, late of Oruru, to Lawrence Harold Daveney, of Oruru, of the former’s rights, powers, and privileges under the Order in Council dated the sixth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twelfth day of the same month, authorizing the former to erect electric lines in portion of the Mangonui County known as Oruru.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 5th day of July, 1932.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the public work for which it was taken.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land directed to be sold: 3 acres 0 roods 25 perches.
Being portion of Ngawhakangutu No. 1 North Block.
Situated in Block VI, Kaitawa Survey District.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

Edmund Freeland Walford,
James Frederick Earl,
William Henry Turner, and
Geoffrey Eastham Faulkner
to be the Aongatete Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Monday, the eighteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the residence of Mr. J. F. Earl, Aongatete, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

to use Water from Scott’s Creek for the Purpose of generating
Electricity, and to erect and use Electric Lines within
Pt. Run 2230, Block II, Lauder Survey District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 5th day of July, 1932.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in any-wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth—subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, and to the regulations made under section two of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, on the eleventh day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twelfth day of the same month, or any regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor (such regulations which are deemed to be incorporated herein, being hereinafter collectively referred to as “the regulations”)—hereby grant to May Ball, of Omakau, Married Woman (hereinafter with her successors and assigns referred to as “the licensee”) a license to take and use from the stream known as Scott’s Creek (hereinafter referred to as “the said creek”), in the Otago Land District, for the purposes hereinafter set forth, a stream of water (hereinafter referred to as “the said water”) not exceeding one half of one cubic foot per second respectively at any one time; and also to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines hereinafter described on the conditions hereinafter set forth: Provided that nothing herein shall be held to guarantee that the said creek contains sufficient water to supply the volume of water hereinbefore referred to; and all rights hereby granted shall be subject to all existing rights heretofore granted under the Mining Acts or otherwise.
CONDITIONS.
- PLANS.
The licensee shall forward for the approval of the Minister of Public Works (hereinafter referred to as “the Minister”)—
(a) Full detailed drawings and specifications of the diverting weirs;
(b) Drawings showing how and in what manner the water is diverted;
(c) Contour-plans showing difference in level of water due to the construction of the headworks;
(d) Drawings giving full particulars of any tunnels, aqueducts, and pipe-lines used in conveying the water from the headworks to the power-station;
(e) Drawings showing the arrangement of the generating, switching, and transforming plant in the power-station.
- UTILIZATION OF THE WATER.
The said water shall be used under this license solely for the purpose of generating electricity.
- LOCATION OF HEADWORKS.
The said water shall be taken from Scott’s Creek, situated in Pt. Run 2230, Block II, Lauder Survey District, Vincent County, Otago Land District, as indicated on the plan marked P.W.D. 83441 (hereinafter referred to as “the said plan”), deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
- GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS.
The licensee is hereby authorized, subject to the conditions herein contained, to construct, maintain, and use the following works for the purposes of this license, the position of the said works being indicated on the said plan:—
(a) Headworks consisting of dam and necessary intakes;
(b) Pipe-line leading from head-race to the power-house hereinafter referred to; also tail-race from the power-house to Scott’s Creek;
(c) Power-house with all necessary equipment, including water-turbines, generators, transformers, lightning-arresters, switchboards, switches, exciters, and other appliances for generating electricity;
(d) Transmission and other lines over the routes shown on the said plan;
