New Zealand Inscribed Stock Act, 1917.—Closing of Registers.

Wellington, 22nd June, 1932.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Registers of New Zealand 5½-per-cent. Inscribed Stock, maturing 1st February, 1936, will be closed from the 16th July to the 1st August, 1932 (inclusive), for the purpose of the issue of half-yearly interest.

WHEREAS notice was published in the Gazette of the 11th February, 1932, of the Native Minister’s intention to apply the provisions of subsection (3) of section 522 of the Native Land Act, 1931, to Lot 1 of Section 148, Parish of Komakorau, and other subdivisions, and known as the Waikato Development Scheme: Now, therefore, I, the said Native Minister, do decide to apply the provisions of subsection (3) of the said section 522 to the additional land mentioned in the Schedule hereto as a part of such scheme, and hereby give notice of my intention accordingly.

No owner, except with the consent of the Native Minister, is entitled to exercise any right of ownership in connection with the land affected so as to interfere with or obstruct the carrying-out of the development scheme.

WHEREAS notice was published in the Gazette of the 25th September, 1930, of the Native Minister’s intention to apply the provisions of subsection (3) of section 23 of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1929, to Te Ahuahu and other blocks, and known as the Bay of Islands Development Scheme: Now, therefore, I, the said Native Minister, do decide to apply the provisions of section 522 of the Native Land Act, 1931, to the additional land mentioned in the Schedule hereto as a part of such scheme, and hereby give notice of my intention accordingly.

Prohibition of Issue of Money-orders and Transmission of Postal Correspondence in New Zealand for W. Potter, Melbourne.

THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, having reasonable ground for supposing that the person whose name and address are shown in the Schedule hereunder is engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery or scheme of chance, it is hereby ordered, under section 32 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928, that no money-order in favour of the said person shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to the said person (either by his own or any fictitious or assumed name), or addressed to the address in the Schedule hereunder without a name, shall be either registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.

PURSUANT to section 24 of the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, I, Adam Hamilton, Minister of Internal Affairs, charged with the administration of the said Act, do hereby appoint Wednesday, the 20th July, 1932, to be the day for the holding of an election of two members of the Mount Eden Fire Board by fire-insurance companies which for the time being are carrying on business within the Mount Eden Fire District.

The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Act.—Notice of Cancellation of Award.

In the matter of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925, and its amendments, and in the matter of an industrial dispute between the Amalgamated Engineering and Allied Trades Industrial Association of Workers (Motor Mechanics section) of the one part and the New Zealand Motor Trades Association (Inc.) and others of the other part.

WHEREAS the Conciliation Commissioner, by notice under his hand dated the 24th day of June, 1932, has notified the Clerk of Awards that a settlement of the above-mentioned dispute has not been arrived at by the Council of Conciliation appointed for the hearing thereof:

Notice is hereby given that, in accordance with section 7 (4) of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Act, 1932, the New Zealand (except Marlborough) Motor Mechanics’ award, dated the 30th November, 1928, and published in Book of Awards, Volume XXVIII, page 873, is deemed to be cancelled, and ceases to be in force on the expiration of one month from the date of the Commissioner’s notification to the Clerk of Awards as aforesaid.
