In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of TAXI-METERS PROPRIETARY, LIMITED.
NOTICE is hereby given, in accordance with section 307 of the Companies Act, 1908, that Taxi-Meters Proprietary, Limited, intend to cease carrying on business in New Zealand upon expiration of three calendar months from the date hereof.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the shareholders of the above company held on Thursday, the 2nd day of June, 1932, the following resolution, passed at a meeting of shareholders held on the 12th day of May, 1932, was confirmed :—
“ That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. DAVID MCCLELLAND DICKSON be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.”

IN LIQUIDATION.
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of THE POVERTY BAY ENGINEERING CO., LTD., Gisborne.
AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company, duly convened and held at the registered office of the company, Customhouse Street, Gisborne, on Saturday, the 21st day of May, 1932, the following special resolution was duly passed, and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the members of the said company, duly convened and held at the same place on the 13th day of June, 1932, the resolution was duly confirmed :—
“ That the company be wound up voluntarily.”
And at the said meeting LEONARD SILVERWOOD, Company Secretary, Gisborne, was appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of THE NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION, LIMITED, a company duly incorporated under the said Act, having its registered office situated at National Bank Buildings, Wellington, and carrying on business at Wellington and elsewhere as land owners and dealers.
NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of the above company by the Supreme Court was, on the 7th day of June, 1932, presented to the Right Honourable Sir Michael Myers, P.C., K.C.M.G., Chief Justice of New Zealand, by Duncan McGregor Macdonald, of Keri Keri, Master Mariner, a creditor of the said company, and the said petition is directed to be heard before a Judge of the said Court on the 1st day of July, 1932, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon ; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous of opposing the making of the order for the winding-up of the said company under the above Act should appear at the time of hearing, by himself or his counsel, for that purpose ; and a copy of the said petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same by the undersigned on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

MACKENZIE COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESULT OF POLL ON PROPOSAL TO ADOPT SYSTEM OF RATING ON UNIMPROVED VALUE.
AT a poll held on 7th instant on the proposal that the system of rating in the county should be on the basis of unimproved value, such proposal was carried.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 369.
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 102.
