THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

The Returning Officer shall as soon as practicable deal with
the voting-papers used for the purpose of recording such
votes in the manner prescribed by section thirty-four of the
Local Elections and Polls Act, 1925:
(2) The poll for the election of members of the said local
authorities shall be taken on the seventh day of June, one
thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, and such poll shall in
all respects take the place of the poll that should have been
held on the appointed day:
(3) The Returning Officer shall, in the manner prescribed by
the said Acts, forthwith give a fresh public notice of the day
herein fixed for the taking of the poll and of the names of the
several candidates, and shall in such notice appoint polling-
places for the taking of the poll:
(4) The proceedings in connection with the election of
members of the said local authorities shall not be called in
question by reason only of the matters hereinbefore set out.

Extending Time for holding Annual Meeting of Councillors in
Ashley County.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 25th day
of May, 1932.
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section seventy-seven of the Counties
Act, 1920 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it
is provided, inter alia, that the annual meeting of the various
County Councils throughout the Dominion shall be held at
noon on the fourth Wednesday in May:
And whereas it is expedient to extend the time for holding
such meeting in the Ashley County:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and
authorities vested in him by section two hundred and sixteen
of the said Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling
him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth
hereby extend the time for holding the annual meeting of
the Ashley County Council, and doth hereby order and declare
that in the aforesaid county the said annual meeting shall
be held and take place at one-thirty o’clock in the afternoon
on Thursday, the second day of June, one thousand nine
hundred and thirty-two.

May, 1932.

THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, by section seventy-seven of the Counties

Expenditure Adjustment Act, 1932, certain classes of
Contracts.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 25th day
of May, 1932.

THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon
him by subsection four of section twenty-nine of the
National Expenditure Adjustment Act, 1932, His Excellency
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby exclude from the operation
of Part III of the said Act the classes of contracts specified
in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
- LEASES and licenses of pastoral runs issued under Part VI
of the Land Act, 1924, or the corresponding provisions of
any former Land Act. - Leases of educational reserves administered by a Land
Board. - Occupation leases issued under Part VIII of the Land
Act, 1924, or the corresponding provisions of any Land Act. - Licenses for the occupation of pastoral lands within
mining districts issued under regulations made under the
Land Act, 1924, or any former Land Act. - Leases and licenses issued under the Public Reserves,
Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, or under the Public
Reserves and Domains Act, 1908.

Vesting a Reserve in the Egmont County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 25th day
of May, 1932.
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
has been duly set apart as a reserve for a site for
county buildings: And whereas it is expedient to vest the
said reserve in the Egmont County Council:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon
him by the ninth section of the Public Reserves, Domains,
and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that, from
and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in
the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Egmont
County Council, in trust, as a reserve for a site for county
buildings.
