Lot 2, D.P. 7217, and thence proceeding in a south-easterly direction along the south-western boundary of the said Lot 2 for distances of 1013·25 links and 109·97 links to the northernmost corner of the said Lot 1, D.P. 985; thence in a southerly direction by the western boundary of the said Lot 1 for a distance of 102·25 links to its intersection with a public street; thence in a westerly direction by the said street for a distance of 114·34 links; thence in a north-westerly direction by lines parallel to and 100 links distant from the western boundary of the aforesaid Lot 1 and the south-western boundary of the aforesaid Lot 2 for distances of 131·64 links and 772·88 links to the left bank of the Hutt River; again in a north-westerly direction by the left bank of the Hutt River for an approximate distance of 165 links to the southernmost corner of Weihwetu Pa 1a Block; and thence in a north-easterly direction by the south-eastern boundary of the said 1a Block for a distance of 77·95 links to the westernmost corner of Lot 2, D.P. 7217, the place of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/3417, deposited, under No. 2537, in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Cancelling the Reservation over a Secondary-education Endowment in the North Auckland Land District, and reserving Crown Land in lieu thereof.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and sixty-three of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may, by Warrant under his hand, whenever he deems it expedient in the public interest so to do, cancel the reservation over any education reserve or endowment vested in the Crown, or over any part thereof, and to reserve in lieu thereof either an area of equal value of national-endowment land over which the reservation has likewise been cancelled pursuant to that section or an area of equal value of ordinary Crown land :

And whereas the Governor-General deems it expedient in the public interest to cancel the reservation over the secondary-education reserve described in the First Schedule hereto, and to reserve in lieu thereof the area of Crown land of equal value described in the Second Schedule hereto :

Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and sixty-three of the Land Act, 1924, do hereby cancel the reservation over the secondary-education reserve described in the First Schedule hereto, and do hereby reserve in lieu thereof the Crown land of equal value described in the Second Schedule hereto.


FIRST SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF SECONDARY-EDUCATION RESERVE OVER WHICH RESERVATION CANCELLED.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Rodney County, situate in Block I, Rodney Survey District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 1 perch, more or less, being Section 106, Village of Leigh, and being the said section set aside for educational purposes and apportioned for secondary education by notice in New Zealand Gazette, 1878, No. 126, page 1778. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/5018, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (North Auckland plan 1100.)


SECOND SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF CROWN LAND RESERVED IN LIEU THEREOF.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Waitemata County, situate in Block III, Waioneke Survey District, containing by admeasurement 92 acres 1 rood 5 perches, more or less, being Allotment 4, Mairatahi Parish. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/5016, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (North Auckland plan 21271.)

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 23rd day of December, 1931.
