The Samoa Port and Customs Service Tax Amendment Order, 1931.

BLEMISLOE, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 18th day of December, 1931.

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of that Dominion, and in pursuance of the authority to make regulations for the peace, order, and good government of the Territory of Western Samoa conferred upon him by the Samoa Act, 1921, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, doth hereby order as follows.

REGULATIONS.

  1. This Order may be cited as "The Samoa Port and Customs Service Tax Amendment Order, 1931," and shall be read with and form part of the Port and Customs Service Tax Regulations, 1928 (hereinafter called the "principal Order").

  2. This Order shall come into force on the 1st day of January, 1932, and shall apply to all goods imported into the Territory on or after that date.

  3. The principal Order is hereby amended by deleting the words "two and one-half per centum" from subclause (1) of clause 2 thereof and substituting therefor the words "five per centum."

  1. This Order may be cited as "The Samoa Customs Consolidation Amendment Order, 1931," and shall be read with and form part of "The Samoa Customs Consolidation Order, 1923" (hereinafter called the "principal Order"), and the amendments thereof heretofore made.

  2. This Order shall come into force on the 1st day of January, 1932.
