The Southern Side of Portion of Vogel Street and the Northern
Side of Portion of Smith Street, in the County of Heathcote,
exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public
Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 15th day of
December, 1931.
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the
Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in any-
wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution
passed by the Heathcote County Council on the sixth day of
November, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, viz. :—
“The Heathcote County Council, being the local authority
having control of the roads in the County of Heathcote,
hereby by resolution declares that the provisions of section
one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act,
1928, shall not apply to the southern side of the portion of
Vogel Street, or to the northern side of the portion of
Smith Street, fronting Lot 39, D.P. 26, being part R.S. 254,
Block XVI, Christchurch Survey District”;;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building
shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the southern
side of the portion of Vogel Street or the northern side of the
portion of Smith Street (described in the Schedule hereto)
within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-lines of
the said portions of roads.
SCHEDULE.
THE southern side of all that portion of road situated in the
Canterbury Land District, Heathcote County, known as
Vogel Street, fronting Lot 39, D.P. 26, being part Rural
Section 254, Block XVI, Christchurch Survey District.
Also the northern side of all that portion of road in the said
land district and county known as Smith Street, fronting
Lot 39, D.P. 26, being part Rural Section 254, Block XVI,
Christchurch Survey District.
As the said portions of roads are more particularly delineated
on the plan marked P.W.D. 82808, deposited in the office of
the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon
coloured red.

wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-

day of November, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one,
in so far as it affects the portion of road described in the
Schedule hereto, viz. :—
“The Marlborough County Council, having control of
that road designated red hereon, containing an area of
3 acres 0 roods 32·6 perches, and width of 60·6 links, being
part of Section 79, Block X, Cloudy Bay Survey District,
by resolution declares that the provisions of section one
hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928,
shall not apply to the said road”;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building
shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the southern
side of the road (described in the Schedule hereto) within a
distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said
road.

Wairau West District, Block X, Cloudy Bay Survey District.

P.W.D. 83020, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public

Education Act, 1914 : Amended Regulations.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 22nd day of
December, 1931.

THE Rt. Hon. G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the
Education Act, 1914, and of all other powers enabling him in
that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of
New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the follow-
ing regulations amending the regulations at present in force relating to
public schools (salaries, grading, staffing, &c), secondary schools, and
manual and technical instruction, &c., and with the like advice and
consent doth prescribe that this Order shall come into force on the
date of publication thereof in the New Zealand Gazette.
AMENDED REGULATIONS.
Public Schools : Salaries, Grading, Staffing, &c.
- The regulations relating to Public Schools (salaries, grading, staffing,
&c.), made by Orders in Council as shown in the First Schedule hereto,
are hereby amended as follows :—
By adding the following further proviso to clause 15 :—
Provided, further, that the increases in salary authorized by this
clause shall not be payable until authorized by the Minister.
