Abolishing Lochiel River District, County of Southland.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the River Boards Act, 1908, as amended by the River Boards Amendment Act, 1913, it is, among other things, enacted that the Governor-General may, on petition signed by not less than a majority of the rate-payers of a river district, abolish any such district:

And whereas a petition signed as aforesaid has been duly presented, praying that the Lochiel River District, established under the said River Boards Act, 1908, may be abolished:

Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the above-recited power and authority, do hereby proclaim and declare that the said Lochiel River District shall be and the same is hereby abolished.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 7th day of November, 1931.

Setting apart Tidal Lands for Disposal under Section 146 of Harbours Act, 1923.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by section one hundred and forty-six of the Harbours Act, 1923, and of the regulations made thereunder, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the lands described in the Schedule hereto for disposal under the section of the Act hereinbefore mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Bay of Islands County, containing by admeasurement 5 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Section 12, Block VIII, Kawakawa Survey District, and the land marked "Foreshore Reserve" on a plan deposited at the office of the Chief Surveyor, North Auckland, at Auckland, and numbered 26509. As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked M.D. 7001, and deposited in the office of the Marine Department, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 31st day of October, 1931.

Exempting certain Native Land from Rates.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 31st day of October, 1931.

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS under the provisions of section one hundred and four of the Rating Act, 1925, and as therein mentioned, the Governor-General may from time to time, for the reasons therein specified, exempt any Native land liable to rates from all or any part of such rates:

And whereas it is desirable that such power should be exercised in respect of the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, in pursuance of the said Act, and of every other power thereunto him enabling, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby exempt the Native land named in the Schedule hereto from all rates made or levied by any local authority under the provisions of the Rating Act, 1925.

SCHEDULE.

THE following land situate in Block X, Heretaunga Survey District, Hawke's Bay County:

Omahu 2R Block : Area, 14 acres 0 roods 17 perches.
