Part of Provisional State Forest No. 73 (Tairua Plantation). Also all that area in the Auckland Land District con- taining by admeasurement 519 acres 3 roods, more or less, being Section 1, Block VIII, Ohinemuri Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the north by a public road, 639·2, 258·1, 511·3, 128·3, 399·8, 316·8, 195·8, 188·7, 231·8, 545·6, 270·1, 754·2, and 32·6 links; towards the north-east by Whangamata No. 6B 3A, 662·6 links; a public road, 153·1, 356·6, and 162·1 links; Whanga-mata No. 6B 3B, 2083·0 links; a line across a public road, and again by Whangamata No. 6B 3B, 1930·5 links; towards the south-east by Mataora No. 2, 3439·6 links, a line across a public road, and again by Mataora No. 2, 6494·5 links; and towards the north-west by Provisional State Forest No. 73 (Gazette, 1920, page 924), 7216·5 links, and Section 1, Block IV, Ohinemuri Survey District, 3086·8 links; save and excepting an intersecting public road: be all the afore-said linkages more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan No 26/18, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Auckland plan S.O. 24968.)

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the road in Akaroa Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

ROAD CLOSED.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of road closed:- A. R. P. Passing through 0 2 4·5 R.S. 24314, situated in Block V, Akaroa Survey District. 0 2 12 Ditto. 0 0 11·6 " 5 0 32·5 " (Plan 2207.)

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 19314A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2512, and thereon coloured green.

Proclaiming Native Land to have become Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia, that on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, the Governor-General may issue a Proclamation that such land has become Crown land:

And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, and its amendments:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has become Crown land.

SCHEDULE.

PUKETI A Block, Te Mata Survey District: Approximate area, 81 acres 3 roods.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 4th day of November, 1931.

Boundaries of Johnsonville Town District curtailed.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Town Boards Act, 1908, and the Counties Act, 1920, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in that behalf, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that as on and from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, the boundaries of the Town District of Johnsonville shall be altered by excluding therefrom and including in the County of Makara the area described in the First Schedule hereto; that the boundaries of the said Town District, with such alteration as herein provided for, shall be those described in the Second Schedule hereto; that the area included as aforesaid in the County of Makara shall be included in the Ohariu Riding of the said county; and that the boundaries of the said riding shall be those described in the Third Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

AREA EXCLUDED FROM TOWN DISTRICT OF JOHNSONVILLE. ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, comprising parts Sections 106, 105, and 91, and Section 92 in the Johnsonville Town District, bounded by a line commencing at the south-eastern corner of Section 14, Block XI, Belmont Survey District; thence northerly by the eastern boundary of the said Section 14 and Sections 15 and 17 to the Ohariu Valley Road; thence easterly generally along that road to the northernmost corner of Section 4, Block XI, Belmont Survey District; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of Section 105, Block XI, Belmont Survey District, to its south-eastern corner; thence westerly along the southern boundary of the last-mentioned section to the north-eastern corner of Section 92; thence southerly along the south-eastern boundary of the said Section 92 to the old Ohariu Road; thence westerly generally along that road to the south-western corner of Section 92 aforesaid; then by a right line to the south-eastern corner of Section 14, Block XI, Belmont Survey District, the place of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

TOWN DISTRICT OF JOHNSONVILLE. ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, bounded by a line commencing at the south-western corner of Section 4, Block I, Hawtrey Settlement; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of Section 105, Ohariu Registration District, Block XI, Belmont Survey District, to the southernmost corner of the said Section 105; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of said Section 105, Ohariu, to the north-western corner of Section 96, Ohariu Registration District; thence south-westerly along the north-western boundary of Section 96 aforesaid to the northern side of the Old Ohariu Road; thence north-westerly along the northern side of that road to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Section 94, Ohariu Registration District; thence along a right line to the north-western corner of Section 94 aforesaid; thence along a right line to the south-eastern corner of Section 94 aforesaid; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundaries of Sections 95 and 107, Ohariu Registration District, to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section: thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of Section 107, Ohariu Registration District, to the westernmost corner of Section 6, Porirua Registration District; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of the said Section 6 to the western side of the Old Porirua Road; thence northerly generally along the western
