✨ Local Government Financial Statements and Resolutions
constituted on the 1st day of April, 1921, the boundaries of
which were published on page 691 of the New Zealand Gazette,
Number 27, of the 18th March, 1921, and that such special
rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency
of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April
in each and every year during the currency of such loan,
being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.
We hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
adopted by the Christchurch City Council at its meeting held
on Monday, the 19th day of October, 1931.

HAMILTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTIONS MAKING SPECIAL RATES.
IN accordance with section 21 of the Local Bodies' Loans
Act, 1926, notification is hereby given that the following
resolutions have been passed at a duly constituted meeting of
the Hamilton Borough Council :—
(a) Unemployment Relief £850 Loan, 1931.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Hamilton
Borough Council hereby resolves that, for the purpose of providing
the interest and sinking fund on a loan not exceeding
£850, authorized to be raised by the Hamilton Borough Council
under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Local Authorities
Empowering (Relief of Unemployment) Act, 1926, the Local
Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and amendments, to be
expended for the relief of unemployment, in acquiring the
necessary land, and to meet the excess costs of labour,
materials, and cartage involved in completing the Anglesea
Street Cutting and improving the slope of the batter on the
eastern bank of the said cutting, the said Hamilton Borough
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-hundredth
of a penny in the pound (£) on the rateable value (unimproved)
of all rateable property in the Borough of Hamilton as at the
31st day of March, 1931, and that such special rate shall be an
annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan,
and be payable on the first day of April in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period not
exceeding twenty-nine years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
(b) Drainage and Library Renewal £51,500 Loan, 1932.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Hamilton
Borough Council hereby resolves that for the purpose of providing
the interest and other charges on a loan of £51,500,
authorized to be raised by the Hamilton Borough Council
under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming
the outstanding liability in respect of two portions of the
Drainage £110,000 Loan—viz., £10,000 maturing on the 1st
February, 1932, and £44,400 maturing on the 1st June, 1932,
and the outstanding liability in respect of the Library Loan
of £4,000 maturing on the 1st July, 1932—the said Hamilton
Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
nine-sixteenths of a penny (9/16d.) in the pound (£) on the
rateable value (unimproved) of all rateable property in the
Borough of Hamilton, and that such special rate shall be an
annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and
be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year
during the currency of the loan, being a period not exceeding
twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
(c) Whatawhata Bridge Renewal £900 Loan, 1932.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Hamilton
Borough Council hereby resolves that for the purpose of providing
the interest and other charges on a loan of £900,
authorized to be raised by the Hamilton Borough Council
under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming
the outstanding liability in respect of a loan of £1,600 maturing
on the 1st July, 1932, the said Hamilton Borough Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-hundredth of a
penny (1/100d.) in the (£) on the rateable value (unimproved)
of all rateable property in the Borough of Hamilton,
and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate
during the currency of the said loan, and shall be payable on
the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency
of the said loan, being a period not exceeding twenty years,
or until the loan is fully paid off.
(d) Gasworks Renewal £3,100 Loan, 1932.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Hamilton
Borough Council hereby resolves that for the purpose of providing
the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,100,
authorized to be raised by the Hamilton Borough Council
under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming
the outstanding liability in respect of a loan of £4,400 (Pt.
Gasworks £5,000 Loan) maturing on the 1st May, 1932,
the said Hamilton Borough Council hereby makes and levies
a special rate of one-twentieth of a penny (1/20d.) in the (£)
on the rateable value (unimproved) of all rateable property
in the Borough of Hamilton, and that such special rate shall
be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such
loan, and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period not
exceeding fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
