to be raised by the Council under the above-mentioned Act
for the purpose of completing reformation and metalling work
on Main Highway Number 63, for which a loan of two thousand
pounds (£2,000) was authorized by poll on the 21st August,
1929, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of one two-hundredth (1/200th) of a penny in the pound
on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value)
of all rateable property in the County of Eketa huna, and that
such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first
day of April in each and every year during the currency of
such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan
is fully paid off.

hereto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of
the Council in the presence of—

RESOLUTION MAKING SECURITY RATE.

Extract from the Minutes of the Proceedings of a Meeting
of the Christchurch City Council held on Monday, the
19th day of October, 1931.

Sydenham Waterworks No. 1 Redemption Loan, 1931, £12,550.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the
Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of twelve thousand five hundred and fifty
pounds (£12,550), authorized to be raised by the Christchurch
City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose
of redeeming the outstanding balance of a loan of fifteen
thousand pounds (£15,000) raised on the 1st October, 1901,
renewed on the 1st October, 1921, and maturing on the
1st October, 1931, the said Christchurch City Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of ten-thousand-two-hundred-
and-twenty-seven thirty - one - thousand - two - hundred - and
fiftieths (10227/31250ths) of a penny in the pound upon the
rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all
rateable property comprised within the Sydenham Waterworks
No. 1 Loan 1901 Special-rating Area, the boundaries of
which are described in the Schedule hereto, and that such
special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first
day of April in each and every year during the currency of
such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the
loan is fully paid off.

SCHEDULE REFERRED TO ABOVE.

All that block of land bounded by a line commencing at
the intersection of Wilson’s Road and Ferry Road, and
starting from thence along the south side of Ferry Road in a
westerly direction to Fitzgerald Avenue; thence along the
east side of the said Fitzgerald Avenue to Moorhouse Avenue;
then ce along the south side of Moorhouse Avenue to Lincoln
Road; thence along the southernmost side of Lincoln Road
to Jerrold Street; thence in a south and easterly direction
along the northernmost side of Jerrold Street to South
Crescent Road; thence along the north side of South Crescent
Road to Strickland Street; thence along the easternmost
side of Strickland Street corner to Colombo Street, and thence
along the eastern side of Colombo Street to Tennyson Street;
thence along the north side of Tennyson Street to the River
Heathcote; and thence along the north bank of the said
River Heathcote to Wilson’s Road; thence northerly along
the west side of Wilson’s Road to the starting-point.

We hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
adopted by the Christchurch City Council at its meeting
held on Monday, the 19th day of October, 1931.

Sydenham Public Works Redemption Loan, 1931, £6,800.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Christ-
church City Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of six thousand eight hundred pounds
(£6,800), authorized to be raised by the Christchurch City
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
redeeming the outstanding balance of a loan of eight thousand
three hundred and eighty pounds (£8,380), raised on the
1st October, 1901, renewed on 1st October, 1921, and maturing
on the 1st October, 1931, the said Christchurch City Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of forty-four-thousand-
three - hundred - and - thirty - one two - hundred - and - fifty-
thousandths (44,331/250,000ths) of a penny in the pound
upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved
value) of all rateable property comprised within the Sydenham
Public Works Loan 1901 Special-rating Area, the boundaries
of which are described in the Schedule hereto, and that such
special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day
of April in each and every year during the currency of such
loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the
Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of forty-three thousand six hundred pounds
(£43,600), authorized to be raised by the Christchurch City
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
redeeming the outstanding balance of a loan of fifty thousand
pounds (£50,000), raised on the 1st November, 1921, and
maturing on the 1st November, 1931, the said Christchurch
City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of forty-
nine-thousand - six - hundred - and - forty - seven sixty - two -
thousand-five-hundredths (49,647/62,500ths) of a penny in the
pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved
value) of all rateable property comprised within the adminis-
trative Block Loan 1921 Special-rating Area, being all that
block of land comprised within the City of Christchurch as
