of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill, comprising
the whole of the City of Invercargill, and that such special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of
such loan, and be payable yearly on the thirty-first day of
July in each and every year during the currency of such loan,
being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid
off.
The Common Seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens
of the City of Invercargill was hereunto affixed at the office
of and pursuant to a resolution of the Invercargill City Council
passed at a meeting of such Council in the presence of—

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Extract from the Minutes of Proceedings of the Invercargill City Council at a Meeting of such Council held on
the 30th Day of June, 1931.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926,
and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the
Invercargill City Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £6,590, authorized to be raised by the
Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for
the purpose of redeeming a loan of £10,000 raised in 1914,
renewed in 1921, and maturing on 31st December, 1931, to
be known as “The Invercargill City Electricity 1914 Redemption Loan (1931), £6,590,” the said Invercargill City
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal one
two (0·12) of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on
the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in
the City of Invercargill, comprising the whole of the City of
Invercargill, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the thirty-first day of July, in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

of the City of Invercargill was hereunto affixed at the office
of and pursuant to a resolution of the Invercargill City Council
passed at a meeting of such Council in the presence of—

as “The South Invercargill Borough Special Works Redemption Loan (1932), £2,900,” the said Invercargill City Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought five
(0·05) of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the
basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the
City of Invercargill, comprising the whole of the City of
Invercargill, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the thirty-first day of July in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership existing
between WILLIAM EDWARD AYERS and EDWIN SMITH,
of Waiharoa and Hamilton, as Pig-farmers and Butchers, under
the style of “Ayers and Smith,” has been dissolved as from
the 31st day of May, 1931.
The said William Edward Ayers will continue the pig-farm
at Waiharoa and the said Edwin Smith will continue the
butchery business at Hamilton on their own respective accounts.
Dated at Hamilton, this 14th day of August, 1931.
