WAIAPU COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Waiapu County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,500, authorized to be raised by the Waiapu County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the erection of a suspension-bridge over the Mata River at Makarika, the said Waiapu County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-sixteenths (5/16ths) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Mata Suspension-bridge Special-rating Area in the County of Waiapu, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

INVERCARGILL CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Extract from the Minutes of Proceedings of the Invercargill City Council at a Meeting of such Council held on the 30th Day of June, 1931.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Invercargill City Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £8,450, authorized to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming the balances of two loans—viz., £7,000 (raised in 1912) and £4,500 (raised in 1920)—both maturing on 1st April, 1932, to be known as “The Invercargill City North Invercargill Nos. 1/3 Redemption Loan (1932), £8,450,” the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal one three (0.13) of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill, comprising the whole of the City of Invercargill, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the thirty-first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Invercargill was hereunto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Invercargill City Council passed at a meeting of such Council in the presence of—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £8,350, authorized to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming the balance of a loan of £10,700 raised in 1916/20, and maturing on 1st July, 1931, to be known as “The Invercargill City Sewerage No. 4 Redemption Loan (1931), £8,350,” the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal one one (0.11) of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in

the City of Invercargill, comprising the whole of the City of Invercargill, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the thirty-first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,300, authorized to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming the balance of a loan of £4,100 raised in 1916/18, renewed in 1921, and maturing on 31st December, 1931, to be known as “The Invercargill City Tramways and Electricity No. 4 Redemption Loan (1931), £3,300,” the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought six (0.06) of a penny in the pound
