CROWN LANDS NOTICES.

Land in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 5th October, 1931.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Tuesday, 20th October, 1931.

Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, the 21st October, 1931, at 10 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant so desires he may be examined by the Land Board of any other district. The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of examination of applicants.

SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
NATIONAL-ENDOWMENT LAND.

Hobson County.—Kaihu Survey District.

SECTION 3, Block IV: Area, 513 acres 3 roods. Capital value, £450. Half-yearly rent, £9.

Loaded with £2,400, for improvements consisting of dwelling, wool-shed, sheep-yards, fencing, felling, and grazing. This amount is payable in cash or by a deposit of £200, the balance to remain on long-term mortgage under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act.

Situated on the Mamaranui—Waihue Road adjoining the Kairara Post-office and school. Two miles from Mamaranui Railway-station and twelve miles from Mangawhare Dairy Factory and saleyards. Eleven miles from Dargaville by metalled road. Watered by permanent creeks and springs. Good-quality clay soil resting on sandstone and rock. The section is hilly but possesses a fair proportion of easy country. Subdivided into four paddocks, about 400 acres in fair pasture and the balance in natural state—standing bush. There is a four-roomed dwelling with kitchenette and bathroom, woolshed (40 ft. by 32 ft.), cowbyre (four bails), and separator-room (40 ft. by 13 ft.), 190 chains boundary-fencing, 305 chains subdivisional fencing, and 10 chains road fencing.

Notifying Tidal Land in the North Auckland Land District for Lease.

North Auckland Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 6th October, 1931.

NOTICE is hereby given that applications for the right to lease and reclaim the undermentioned land will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, the 19th day of October, 1931.

Applicants should appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office on 21st October, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The land will be leased in accordance with the provisions of section 148 of the Harbours Act, 1923, and the regulations made thereunder dated 7th day of May, 1930.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—WHANGAREI COUNTY.—WHANGAREI SURVEY DISTRICT.

SECTION 18, Block VII: Area, 37 acres 1 rood 16 perches (approx.). Upset rental, 1s. per acre per annum.

SECTION 5, Block VIII: Area, 13 acres 3 roods 24 perches (approx.). Upset rental, 1s. per acre per annum.

Education Reserve in the Taranaki Land District for Lease by Tender.

New Plymouth, 5th October, 1931.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned education reserve will be offered for lease by tender under the provisions of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, and the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908, and amendments, tenders closing at the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, at 4 o’clock p.m. on Tuesday, 10th November, 1931.

SCHEDULE.
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.—EDUCATION RESERVE.
PRIMARY.

Hawera County.—Waimate Survey District.

SUB. 15 of Section 1: Area, 37-9 perches.

This section is situated about five miles and a half from Hawera Post-office by good road, and comprises level land. The section is very suitable for a seaside-cottage site.

Reserve in Canterbury Land District for Lease by Public Tender.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be offered for lease for a term of five years by public tender under the provisions of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928; tenders closing at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, at 4 o’clock p.m. on Thursday, 12th November, 1931.

SCHEDULE.
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.

Sumner Borough.—Pigeon Bay Survey District.

RESERVE 60, Block II: Area, 478 acres. Upset annual rental, £205 10s.

Loaded with £90, for improvements consisting of 27 chains subdivisional fencing, half-share 130 chains boundary-fencing, together with yards, troughs, piping, and dams. Such amount to be paid in cash.

Situated near Godley Head, between Taylor’s Mistake and Lyttelton Harbour, with access from Lyttelton (four miles and a half) or Sumner (two miles) by Evans Pass Road. Good sheep country carrying native and English grasses, rising to a height of 800 ft. above sea-level. Steep and rocky on the Lyttelton Harbour frontage, and with steep faces, spurs, and gullies on the Taylor’s Mistake coast-line. Watered by springs, dams, pipe-line, and concrete trough, their being no permanent running water.
