NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land
will be offered for sale by public auction for cash or
on deferred payments at the District Lands and Survey
Office, New Plymouth, on Wednesday, 21st October, 1931, at
2.30 o'clock p.m., under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

Settlement Land in Canterbury Land District for Selection on
Renewable Lease.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land
is open for selection on renewable lease under the
Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlement Act, 1925, and
amendments, and applications will be received at the Dis-
trict Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, up to 4 o'clock
p.m. on Monday, 19th October, 1931.
Applicants should appear personally before the Land Board
for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office,
Christchurch, on Wednesday, 21st October, 1931, at 10
o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may
be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commis-

Situated about eleven miles from Timaru by good metalled

will be opened for selection in terms of the Land Act,
1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands
and Survey Office, Dunedin, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Monday,
12th October, 1931.
The land may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased
for cash, or on deferred payments, or be selected on renewable
lease.
Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board
for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office,
Dunedin, on Wednesday, 14th October, 1931, at 10.30 o'clock
a.m., but if any applicant so desires he may be examined by
the Land Board of any other district.
The ballot will be held immediately on conclusion of the
examination of applicants.

ments, £15; half-yearly instalment on deferred payments,
£6 16s. 6d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £4 10s.
After payment of first half-year's rent (or deposit on
deferred payments, as the case may be) no further rent (or
such parts of the instalment on deferred payments as consist
of interest) will be demanded for four years.
Weighted with the sum of £200, for improvements compris-
ing dwelling, cow-byré, scullery, approximately 160 acres
felled, burned, and grassed, and internal fencing.
This sum may be paid in cash or left on mortgage for a
term of twenty years; interest in the case of a civilian to be
5% per cent., or in the case of a soldier 5 per cent.
