Authorizing the Waitomo County Council to sell Timber upon Portions of the Mapara Road and the Waipa River Road, in the Waitomo County.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by section one hundred and forty of the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby authorize the Waitomo County Council to sell or contract to sell and remove timber upon the portions of roads described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of the Mapara Road, in the Taranaki Land District, commencing at a point opposite the eastern boundary of Lot 2 of 5, Block VIII, Mapara Survey District, and proceeding thence in a south-easterly direction generally to its junction with the Tutukakariki Road in Block III, Tangitu Survey District.

Also all that portion of the Waipa River Road, in the Auckland Land District, commencing at a point in Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 36B, Section 2, Block XI, Pakaumanu Survey District, and proceeding thence in an easterly direction generally to the north-eastern boundary of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 36A, Section 2c No. 5, Block IX, Ranginui Survey District.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 82020, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 25th day of July, 1931.

Appointment of Cemetery Trustees, Mangaroa Public Cemetery.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section fifty-five of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

The Ohura Town Board

to be trustees of the Mangaroa Public Cemetery, as described in the Schedule hereto, and to have the control and management of the said cemetery.

SCHEDULE.

MANGAROA PUBLIC CEMETERY.

SECTION 11, Block V, Ohura Survey District, Taranaki Land District : Area, 6 acres 1 rood 5 perches, more or less.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 23rd day of July, 1931.

Notice exempting Crown Land in the Westland Land District from the Operation of Part III of the Coal-mines Act, 1925.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by subsection two of section one hundred and seventy-one of the Coal-mines Act, 1925, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, and set apart for the purposes of State coal-mines for coal-mining operations by notice published in New Zealand Gazette of the eighth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and two, page 1028, shall be exempt from the operation of Part III of the Coal-mines Act, 1925, and do hereby further declare that this notice shall take effect as from the date of the gazetting hereof.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Westland Land District, containing approximately 1,700 acres, situated in the Cobden Survey District : Bounded by a line commencing at the south-eastern corner of Section No. 123, Block V, Cobden Survey District ; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of that section to McLean or Bridge Creek ; thence easterly generally by that creek to western boundary of Section 231, Block V, Cobden Survey District ; thence southerly by the western boundary of the last-mentioned section to the western boundary of the Borough of Brunner ; thence along the western boundary of the said Borough of Brunner to the road forming the southern boundary of Section No. 6, Block V, Cobden Survey District ; thence along that road to Section No. 4 ; thence along the eastern and northern boundaries of the said Section No. 4 and the northern boundary of a gravel reserve to the road forming the southern boundary of Section No. 1 ; thence along that road and the eastern and northern boundaries of a gravel reserve to the road forming the eastern boundary of Section No. 195 ; thence along a right line across that road and along the western side of the road forming the eastern boundary of Section No. 196 to the road reserve running along the right bank of the Grey River ; thence along the northern side of the said road reserve to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 192 ; thence along the eastern boundary of Section No. 192 and along the northern boundaries of Sections Nos. 192, 190, and 116 ; thence along a right line across a road and along the north-eastern boundary of Section No. 116 to the road forming the eastern boundary of Section No. 122 ; thence along the east side of that road and the north side of the road forming the northern boundaries of Sections Nos. 122, 121, 120, and 119 to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 167 ; thence along the eastern and northern boundaries of the said Section No. 167 to its north-western corner ; thence along the east side of the road forming the western boundary of Section No. 166, and along the south side of the road forming the northern boundaries of, Sections 166, 168, and 170 to a point in line with the eastern boundary-line of Section No. 123, Block V aforesaid ; thence along a right line across the said road to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 123, Block V aforesaid, the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked Mines N. 6/4/17, deposited in the Head Office, Mines Department, Wellington, and thereon edged red.
