Lands reserved under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), has recommended that the lands described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:
Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be scenic reserves under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.
SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
SECTION 36, Block XI, Waipoua Survey District: Area, 1 acre 2 roods 22·5 perches, more or less. (L. and S. 9/2478.)
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.
Subdivision 1 of Section 3, Block XIII, Kaitieke Survey District: Area, 634 acres 2 roods, more or less. (L. and S. 22/194/82.)
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.
Ngaio Island, being Section 8, Block XII, Kaiteriteri Survey District: Area, 2 acres, more or less. (L. and S. 53677.)
Also all that area, containing 2,023 acres, more or less, being part Section 10, Block VI, part Section 5, Block X, and Crown land in Block V, Howard Survey District. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/334, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Also Sections 8, Block V, and 15, Block V, Brighton Survey District, containing areas of 25 acres and 75 acres respectively, more or less. (L. and S. 4/98.)
Also Sections 14, Block IV, 15, Block VI, 16, Block VI, 28, Block VI, and 11, Block IX, Waitakere Survey District, containing areas of 42 acres 2 roods, 311 acres, 4 acres 0 roods 8 perches, 23 acres, and 23 acres 2 roods respectively, all a little more or less. (L. and S. 4/98.)
Also part Section 2, Block IX, Brighton Survey District, containing 194 acres 2 roods 14 perches, more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/98D, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.
Reserve 3825, Block I, Spaxton Survey District: Area, 82 acres 1 rood 30 perches, more or less. (L. and S. 4/627.)
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.
Section 50, Block IV, Toetoes Survey District: Area, 141 acres, more or less. (L. and S. 4/623.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 10th day of July, 1931.

Land set apart as Part of a Permanent State Forest.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921-22, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as part of a permanent State forest.
SCHEDULE.
MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.— NELSON - MARLBOROUGH FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.
Part of S. F. No. 134.
ALL that area in the Marlborough Land District containing by admeasurement 51 acres, more or less, being Lot 2 of Section 2, Block VII, Arapawa Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the north-east by Lot 2 of Section 4, Block VII aforesaid (State Forest No. 134, Gazette,
1905, page 543); towards the south-east by Section 15, Block XII, Arapawa Survey District; and towards the south-west and north-west by Lot 1 of Section 2, Block VII aforesaid. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 105/1, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service, at Wellington, and thereon bordered purple.

Declaring Lands set apart under the Land Act, 1892, to be subject to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the lands described in the First and Second Schedules hereto are reserves permanently set apart under the provisions of the Land Act, 1892, for a sanctuary for native birds and for the preservation of the native flora and fauna respectively:
And whereas it is expedient that the said lands should be declared reserves under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908:
Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section four of the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1926, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedules hereto shall, from and after the date hereof, be scenic reserves under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, and its amendments.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
RESERVE 3208, Blocks XI and XV, Opawa Survey District, Canterbury Land District: Area, 510 acres, more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/628, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
RESERVE 3242, Blocks III, IV, VII, and VIII, Nimrod Survey District, Canterbury Land District: Area, 268 acres 2 roods, more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 191, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 7th day of July, 1931.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, the Government Railways Act, 1926, and amendments thereto, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.
