THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Monday, the twenty-fourth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, at the price specified in the said Schedule, and for the purposes of section one hundred and thirty-three of the Land Act, 1924, the said land shall be deemed to be “light-bush land.”

The said land may be purchased for cash or on deferred payments, or be selected on renewable lease.

After the first half-year's rent (or the deposit on deferred payments, as the case may be) has been paid by the selector the further instalments of rent (or such parts of the instalments on deferred payments as consist of interest), payable by him for the period specified in the Schedule hereto, shall not be demanded: Provided that if at any time during the first five years of his occupancy the selector disposes of his interest in the land the rent or interest so conceded shall be paid by him in full, and thereupon the Land Board may remit such instalments of rent or interest payable by the incoming tenant, not exceeding in the aggregate the amount previously conceded to the selector, as the Board shall think fit.

Kaitieke County.—Kaitieke Survey District.
(Exempt from payment of rent or interest for two years.)
SECTIONS 20, 21, and 26, Block III: Area, 243 acres 2 roods 17 perches. Capital value, £410. Deposit on deferred payments, £20; half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £12 13s. 6d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £8 4s. Weighted with £75 for improvements.

Opening Lands in the Wellington Land District for Sale or Selection.
BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1924, and the amendments thereof, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided by section one hundred and seventy-six of the said Act, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Monday, the twenty-fourth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, and also the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash or on deferred payments, or be selected on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, and the amendments thereof.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.
FIRST-CLASS LAND.
Kaitieke County.—Hunua Survey District.
SECTION 90, Block VI: Area, 19 acres 2 roods. Capital value, £97. Deposit on deferred payments, £7; half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £2 18s. 6d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £1 18s. 10d.
Waimarino County.—Manganui Survey District.
Sections 13 and 14, Block XVI: Area, 201 acres. Capital value, £200. Half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £6 10s. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £4. Weighted with the sum of £34 17s. 6d. for improvements.
SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Waimarino County.—Karioi Survey District.
Section 1, Block XI: Area, 374 acres 1 rood. Capital value, £605. Deposit on deferred payments, £35; half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £18 10s. 6d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £12 2s. Weighted with the sum of £144 for fencing.
Kaitieke County.—Kaitieke Survey District.
Section 4, Block VI: Area, 200 acres. Capital value, £145. Deposit on deferred payments, £10; half - yearly instalment on deferred payments, £4 7s. 9d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £2 18s. Weighted with the sum of £200 for improvements.
THIRD-CLASS LAND.
Kaitieke County.—Retaruke Survey District.
Section 3, Block XII: Area, 1,149 acres. Capital value, £285. Deposit on deferred payments, £15; half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £8 15s. 6d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £5 14s. Weighted with the sum of £1,040 for improvements.
Kaitieke County.—Kaitieke Survey District.
Section 7, Block XIV: Area, 627 acres. Capital value, £155. Deposit on deferred payments, £8; half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £4 15s. 7d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £3 2s. Weighted with the sum of £380 for improvements.
