Declaring Land in Otago Mining District, Southland Land District, open for Disposal on Renewable Lease.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and fifty-four of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General, by Proclamation, may from time to time declare any lands within any mining district to be open for disposal as provided in section one hundred and fifty-three of the said Act :
Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by the one hundred and fifty-fourth section of the said Act, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open on Tuesday, the fourteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, for disposal as provided in section one hundred and fifty-three of the said Act.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—OTAGO MINING DISTRICT.
SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Wallace County.—Longwood Survey District.
SECTION 39, Block VII : Area, 162 acres 2 roods 20 perches. Capital value, £120. Half-yearly rent, £2 8s.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 3rd day of June, 1931.

Lands set apart for Disposal by way of Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers, under Special Tenures, in the North Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby set apart and declared open for disposal by way of sale or lease to discharged soldiers, under special tenures, in the manner provided in the said Act.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
SECTION 3, Block V, Opuawhanga Survey District : Area, 155 acres.
Section 12, Block V, Opuawhanga Survey District : Area, 228 acres 1 rood.
Section 13, Block V, Opuawhanga Survey District : Area, 16 acres 3 roods 20 perches.
Section 14, Block V, Opuawhanga Survey District : Area, 133 acres 2 roods 30 perches.

Land in the Wellington Land District declared to be subject to Section 133 of the Land Act, 1924.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the Land Board of the Wellington Land District has recommended that the Crown tenant of the land enumerated in the Schedule hereto should be afforded relief, owing to exceptional circumstances over which he has no control preventing the profitable occupation of such land :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-four of the Land Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the land enumerated in the Schedule hereto to be subject to the provisions of section one hundred and thirty-three of the Land Act, 1924 ; and I do further fix three years from the date mentioned in the said Schedule as the period for which the said land shall be exempt from payment of rent.

SECTION 33, Block XII, Kaitieke Survey District : 1st July, 1931.

Proclaiming a Road-line laid out through Waihou Lower A Block, North Auckland Land District, to be a Public Road.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was, by an order of the Native Land Court made on the second day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, duly laid out as a road-line in pursuance of section one hundred and seventeen of the Native Land Act, 1909 :
And whereas by section two of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1918, it is provided that where any road-line has heretofore been laid out under the said section one hundred and seventeen, and has not been proclaimed as a public road, then such road-line may be proclaimed as a public road under section forty-eight of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913 ; subject, however, to the conditions prescribed by section fifty-one of the last-mentioned Act and section fifteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914 :
And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands, in terms of section fifty-one of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913 :
And whereas one month’s notice in writing of the intention to proclaim the said road-line as a public road has been given by the Surveyor-General to the local authority of the district concerned, in terms of section fifteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914 :
And whereas it is now expedient that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a public road :
Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-eight of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, do hereby proclaim as a public road the road-line described in the Schedule hereto.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road : 4 acres 1 rood 34 perches.
Being portion of Waihou Lower A Block.
Situated in Blocks XV and XVI, Whangape Survey District. (Plan 10901, red.)
In the North Auckland Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/1100/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2491, and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day of June, 1931.
