Recreation Reserve in Canterbury Land District brought under Part II of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 22nd day of December, 1930.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the thirty-fourth section of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Canterbury Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of, and declared to be subject to, the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and such reserve shall hereafter be known as the Waitohi Gorge Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain.

SCHEDULE.

WAITOHI GORGE DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 8 acres 2 roods 15 perches, more or less, and being part of Reserve Number 286, situated in Block III, Waitohi Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north generally by the Waitohi River; towards the south-east by other part of Reserve Number 286, 1200 links; and again towards the south-west by a public road, 132·5, 593·3, 721, and 320 links. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/932, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 32 acres 1 rood, more or less, being part of the Town Belt, Town of Clyde, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-west by Block I, Leaning Rock Survey District, 1371·2 links; by the crossing of a public street, 129·3 links; and again by Block I, 2055·1 links; towards the north-east by a public street, 993·6 links; towards the south-east by Sections 6 and 5, Block LI, Town of Clyde, 1685·5 links; by the crossing of a public street, 103 links, and by Section 1, Block L, 1099·5 links; towards the south-west by Farne Street, 125·9 links; again towards the south-east by Farne Street and Block XLVIII, 402 links; again towards the south-west by Crown land, 903 links.

Also all that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 105 acres 0 roods 6 perches, more or less, being part of the Town Belt, Town of Clyde, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-west by Block I, Leaning Rock Survey District, 902·6 links; towards the north-east by Run 221G, 11650·5 links; towards the south-west and south-east by a Cemetery Reserve, 1613 links and 196 links; towards the south-west by Blocks XXXII, XXXIV, a public street, Sections 2 and 1, Block LIII, a public street, Sections 4, 3, 2, and 1, Block LII, Town of Clyde, 6505·4 links; towards the north-west and south-west by a public street, 100 links and 3866·7 links.

Also all that area in the Otago Land District containing by admeasurement 3 acres 0 roods 28 perches, more or less, being part of the Town Belt, Town of Clyde, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-east by Run 221G, Sections 8 and 9, Block I, Leaning Rock Survey District, 1197·5 links; towards the south-west by Hull Street, 1024·4 links; towards the north-west by a Cemetery Reserve, 620 links:

Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same are more particularly shown on the plan marked L. and S. 1/112A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by section forty of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that from and after the fifteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, the public domains described in the Schedules hereto shall be united to form one public domain, to be known as the Katikati Domain.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—KATIKATI DOMAIN.

ALLOTMENTS 25 and 26, Parish of Katikati: Area, 185 acres 2 roods.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—URITAWA DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, in the Town of Waterford, containing by admeasurement 8 acres 1 rood 26·2 perches, more or less, being Lots 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 176, 177, 178, and 179 on D.P. 67, and Lot 1 on D.P. 15488, being portions of Allotment 52, Tahawai Parish, together with Allotments 52B and 52C, Tahawai Parish, formerly parts of Church Street and Fourth Avenue, closed by Proclamation published in Gazette, No. 73, of the 23rd August, 1906, page 2224, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-east by Third Avenue, 875 links; towards the south-east by Lots 37 and 30 on plan 67, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, and Major Street, 900 links; towards the south-west by Stone Street, Allotments 52A and part 52, Tahawai Parish, 947·2 links; towards the north-west by part Allotment 52, Tahawai Parish, 400 links; towards the north-east, north-west, and south-west by Fourth Avenue, 222·2, 100, and 250 links; and again towards the north-west by Lot 180 on plan 67, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, 400 links: Be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or less.
