Block I, Kaiwhata Survey District, across the Ngahape Road
and the Kaiwhata River, and thence along the eastern and
south-western boundaries of Run 49, Blocks I, Kaiwhata
Survey District, and IV, Wainuioru Survey District, to the
south-eastern boundary of Section 147, Pahaua Block,
Block IV, Wainuioru Survey District; thence in a north-
easterly direction along the said eastern boundary of Sec-
tion 147 to the north-eastern corner thereof; thence along
the southern and north-western boundaries of that part of
Section 146, Pahaua Block, Block IV, Wainuioru Survey
District, as shown on plan B/208, deposited in the office of
the District Land Registrar at Wellington; and thence along
that part of the south-eastern boundary of part Section 1,
Block IV, Wainuioru Survey District, as shown on plan
B/212, deposited as aforesaid, to the westernmost corner of
Section 1, Ngahape Settlement; and then along the north-
western boundaries of Sections 1 and 2, Ngahape Settlement,
to the northernmost corner of the last-mentioned section, the
place of commencement.

And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring
rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly
on the first days of April in each year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the
matter of HOLMES AND ROBERTS, LIMITED.

NOTICE is hereby given that HOLMES AND ROBERTS,
LIMITED, passed the following extraordinary resolution
for the winding-up of the company by entry in its minute-
book under date 31st March, 1931:—

“ That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the company
that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue
its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and
accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily,
and that MORRIS STEWART SPENCE, of Napier, Accountant,
be appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter
of THE BERKELEY GRAMAPHONE COMPANY, LIMITED.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general
meeting of the shareholders of the above-named
company held on Wednesday, the 15th day of April, 1931,
the following resolution was passed:—

“ That, as it is proved to its satisfaction that the company
cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and
that it is advisable to wind up the company, the company be
voluntarily wound up, and that Mr. W. D. Hood be appointed
Liquidator.”

Creditors of the above-named company are required, on or
before the 8th day of May, 1931, to send their names, addresses,
and particulars of their debts or claims to the Liquidator,
and, if so required by notice in writing, are to come in and
prove their debts or claims, or in default thereof they will
be excluded from the benefits of any distribution made before
such debts or claims are proved.

GREY COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR A ROAD.

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and in the matter
of the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Grey County Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-named
Acts and all other Acts, and powers enabling it in that
behalf, to execute a certain public work—namely, the con-
struction of a road in portions of Section 3259, Block VI,
Mawheranui Survey District, in the Land District of West-
land, in the County of Grey—and for the purpose of such
public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are
required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given
that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited
in the Public Office of the said Grey County Council situate
at Gresson Street, Greymouth, and is there open for inspection
(without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours,
and that all persons affected by the execution of the said
public work or by the taking of such lands who have any
well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public
work or to the taking of the said lands must set forth their
objections in writing, and send such writing, within forty
days from the 15th day of April, 1931, being the date of the
first publication of this notice, to the said Grey County
Council, addressed to the County Clerk at the County Office,
Gresson Street, Greymouth.

SCHEDULE.

Area of land required to be taken: 3 roods 5·6 perches.
Being portion of Section No. 3259, Block VI, Mawheranui
Survey District; coloured yellow.
