a company duly incorporated under the provisions of
the law of New South Wales relating to the incorporation of
companies, purposes conducting its business in New Zealand,

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
The Mangaparuparu Special-rating District Loan of
£550, 1931.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926,
and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the
Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, principal, and other charges on the Masterton
County Mangaparuparu Special-rating District Loan of £550,
1931, authorized to be raised by the Council under the above-
mentioned Act for the purpose of metalling the Mangaparu-
paru Road in the Upper Taueru Riding, within the County
of Masterton, the said Council hereby makes and levies the
special rate of twenty-one sixty-fourths (21/64ths) of a penny
in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of
the capital value) of all rateable property in the Mangaparu-
paru Special-rating District in the County of Masterton, com-
prising all that area bounded as follows:
Commencing at a point on the left bank of the Taueru
River, being the north-western corner of Section 296, Block
IX, Mangapakeha Survey District, and proceeding thence in
a south-easterly direction generally along the northern and
eastern boundaries of the said Section 296, the northern
boundaries of Section 295, Block IX, Mangapakeha Survey
District, and Section 873, Block X, Mangapakeha Survey
District, the northern and eastern boundaries of Section 875
and the northern and eastern boundaries of Part I of Sec-
tion 877 of the aforesaid Block X, Mangapakeha Survey
District, and the northern boundary of those portions of
Section 879, Block X, Mangapakeha Survey District, and
Section 881, Block XI, Mangapakeha Survey District, com-
prising Lot 2 on Deposited Plan 1175; thence in a south-
esterly and north-westerly direction by the south-eastern
and south-western boundaries of that part of the said Lot 2
comprised in Certificate of Title Vol. 267, folio 222, to the
south-western corner of the aforesaid Section 879, Block X,
Mangapakeha Survey District; again in a south-westerly
direction generally by the south-eastern boundary of the
aforesaid Part I of Section 877, Block X, Mangapakeha
Survey District, and the south-eastern boundary of Part 2
of Section 876, Block X, Mangapakeha Survey District, the
north-western and western boundaries of that part of Sec-
tion 876 as shown on plan A/2855, and again by the afore-
said eastern boundary of Part 2 of Section 876, Block X,
Mangapakeha Survey District, to the south-eastern corner
thereof; thence in a north-westerly direction generally by
the south-western boundaries of Parts 2 and 1 of the afore-
said Section 876, Part 1 of Section 874, Part 1 of Section 863,
Block X, Mangapakeha Survey District, to the south-eastern
boundary of Section 864, Block IX, Mangapakeha Survey
District; thence in a north-easterly direction by the south-
eastern boundary of Part 2 of the said Section 864 for a
distance of 2844.4 links; thence in a north-westerly direction
by a right line bearing 301° 38' across the said Part 2 of
Section 864, Block IX, Mangapakeha Survey District, to the
north-western boundary thereof, a distance of 5372.1 links;
thence in a north-easterly direction by the north-western
boundary of Section 864, Block IX, Mangapakeha Survey
District, for a distance of 9527.3 links to the north-western
corner of Part 1 of the said Section 864; thence proceeding
in a north-westerly direction by the southern boundaries of
Sections 295 and 296, Block IX, Mangapakeha Survey Dis-
trict, to the left bank of the Taueru River; and thence
towards the north-east generally by the Taueru River to the
north-western corner of the said Section 296, the place of
commencement.
And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring
special rate during the currency of the said loan, and be
payable yearly on the first day of April in each year during
the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years, or
until the loan is fully paid off.

The Kaiwhata Stream Bridge Loan of £300, 1931.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926,
and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the
Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, principal, and other charges on the Masterton
County Kaiwhata Stream Bridge Loan of £300, 1931, autho-
rized to be raised by the Council under the above-mentioned
Act for the purpose of constructing a bridge (together with
the approaches thereto) over the Kaiwhata Stream, at Nga-
hape, in the Wainuioru Riding of the County of Masterton,
the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
nine-fortieths (9/40ths) of a penny in the pound sterling on
the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all
rateable property in the Kaiwhata Special-rating District in
the County of Masterton, comprising all that area bounded
as follows:
Commencing at the northernmost corner of Section 2,
Ngahape Settlement, Block I, Kaiwhata Survey District,
and proceeding thence in a south-easterly direction generally
along the eastern boundary of the said Section 2, the northern
and eastern boundaries of Te Maipi N.R. Subdivision 7c No. 4,
and the north-eastern boundaries of Section 1, Block I,
Kaiwhata Survey District, and Section 11, Block IV, Kai-
whata Survey District, to the easternmost corner of the last-
mentioned section; thence in a westerly direction generally
