Notice of Intention to take Land in Block VII, Jacobs River
Hundred, for the Purposes of a Post-office.


NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the
provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take
the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of
a post-office: And notice is hereby further given that the
plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the
Post-office at Thornbury, and is there open for inspection;
and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land
should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the
taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send
such writing, within forty days from the first publication of
this notice, to the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken :
1 rood.
Being portion of Section 42.
Situated in Block VII, Jacobs River Hundred (Southland
R.D.). (S.O. 37/91.)
In the Southland Land District; as the same is more

Wellington, and thereon coloured pink.

trical Wiremen’s Registration Act, 1925, a return for
the quarter ending 31st March, 1931, showing the names and

EXTENDING THE PROVISIONS OF THE ABOVE ACT TO
NEW ZEALAND.

THE following order, dated 8th January, 1931, made by
the Lieutenant-Governor of the Isle of Man, applying
the Maintenance Orders (Facilities for Enforcement) Act,
1921 (Isle of Man) to New Zealand, is published for general
information.

THE MAINTENANCE ORDERS (FACILITIES FOR ENFORCEMENT)
ACT, 1921.


APPLICATION OF ACT TO NEW ZEALAND.

His Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor has, under the
powers afforded by the above-mentioned Act, made an Order,
dated the 8th day of January, 1931, a copy of which is
appended, applying the Maintenance Orders (Facilities for
Enforcement) Act, 1921, to New Zealand.

ISLE OF MAN.
TO WIT.

By His Excellency Sir Claude Hamilton Archer Hill, K.C.S.I.
C.I.E., Lieutenant-Governor of the said Isle, &c.

Whereas it is enacted by section 11 of the Maintenance
Orders (Facilities for Enforcement) Act, 1921, that where
the Governor is satisfied that reciprocal provisions have
been made by the Legislature of any part of His Majesty’s
Dominions or British Protectorate outside the Isle of Man
for the enforcement within that part of maintenance orders
made by Courts within the Isle of Man, the Governor
may by Order extend such Act to such part of His Majesty’s
Dominions or British Protectorate :

And whereas reciprocal provisions have been made by the
Government of New Zealand for the enforcement within such
Dominion of Maintenance Orders made by Courts within the
Isle of Man.

Now I, the Lieutenant-Governor of the Isle of Man, under
the powers in me vested under the Maintenance Orders
(Facilities for Enforcement) Act, 1921, do hereby order that
such Act shall extend to New Zealand.

Given at Government House, Isle of Man, this 8th day
of January, 1931.

Portion of Kaipara Consolidation Scheme confirmed.


In the matter of Section 6 of the Native Land Amendment
and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1923.

NOTICE is hereby given that a scheme of consolidation,
in part, dated the 9th day of March, 1931, dealing
with Aoroa and other blocks as set out in the said scheme,
having been prepared by the Native Land Court in accordance
with the above-mentioned Act, and submitted under the seal
of the said Court to the Native Minister for his approval, I,
Apirana Turupa Ngata, as such Native Minister, being satis-
fied that the scheme so submitted is just and equitable and
is in the public interest, do hereby confirm the portion of the
said scheme of consolidation which was so submitted on the
9th day of March, 1931.
