Member of the Mangapiko Rabbit Board elected.—(Notice No. Ag. 2963.)

NOTICE has been received under the hand of the Returning Officer of the Mangapiko Rabbit Board, established under the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, that William John Mills has been duly elected as a member of the said Board, vice Duncan G. Maclean, resigned.

WHEREAS the Native Minister has decided to apply the provisions of subsection (3) of section 23 of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1929, to the Native land or land owned by Natives described in the Schedule hereto: Notice of the Native Minister’s intention so to do is hereby given and published in accordance with the said subsection (3), and attention is drawn to paragraph (f) of the said subsection (3), which provides that no owner shall, except with the consent of the Native Minister, be entitled to exercise any rights of ownership in connection with the land affected so as to interfere with or obstruct the carrying-out of any works undertaken or to be undertaken under the said subsection (3).

Wharf Light re-established.
Former Notice.—No. 65, Part I, of 1928 (hereby cancelled).
Position: Lat. 39° 04′ S., long. 177° 50′ E. (approx.).
Details: The fixed light with white, red, and green sectors, which was destroyed in 1928 will be re-exhibited on 1st May.
Remarks: The position and sectors of the light are unaltered.

Solitary Islands and Adjacent Coast: Obstruction reported.
Position: At a distance of 2·0 miles 103° from Mutton Bird Island. Lat.: 30° 18′ south; long.: 153° 11½′ east.
Remarks: The s.s. “Changte” reports having struck a submerged object in the above position on 26th March.
Caution: Positions given are taken from Chart 1026.

Position: Lat. 39° 29′ S., long. 176° 54′ E. (approx.). Chart 2513.
Details: The fixed light shown from the end of the eastern pier at the entrance to Inner Harbour, and the Morse signalling lamp on Glasgow Wharf have been re-established.

Colours: Navy blue and red.
Haband: Band 1½ in. wide. Red stripe ⅛ in. wide at top and bottom of band, with central stripe of navy blue 1¼ in. wide. Monogram of letters “G.H.S.” on front of band.
