Land in Taranaki Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924 ; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, 7th April, 1931.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, on Wednesday, 8th April, 1931, at 10 o'clock a.m. ; but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.-SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Ohura County-Ohura Survey District.
(Exempt from the payment of rent for five years.)
SECTION 3, Block VIII : Area, 1,000 acres. Capital value, £500. Half-yearly rent, £10.
Weighted with £750, for improvements comprising four-roomed dwelling (with bathroom and pantry), wool-shed and yards, 280 acres felling and grassing, and 270 chains fencing. A deposit of £25 is payable ; the balance of £725 to be secured by instalment mortgage for 34½ years at 5½ per cent. ; half-yearly instalment, £23 11s. 3d. No interest on the mortgage will be payable for two years from date of selection provided improvements to the value of £40 are effected annually during such period.
A grazing farm on the Kakahi Road, ten miles from Toi Toi Railway-station, and half a mile from the Kakahi School. About 30 acres ploughable. Approximately 250 acres which were in fern and light tea-tree and 50 acres of bush have been burnt but not grassed, a further 450 acres being still in bush. After payment of the first half-year's rent and rent for broken period, no further rent will be charged for a period of five years, provided improvements to the value of £50 are effected annually during the exemption period. (These improvements to be additional to those required to obtain interest concession on the mortgage charges.)
