NOTICE TO MARINERS.
NADI WATERS.

MARINERS are hereby warned that it has been reported that shoal waters have been observed from a sea-plane in Nadi waters. The position of the shoal is given as being about one mile in S.S. W’ly direction from Curacoa Rock. Mariners are therefore cautioned not to go to the north-west of the swept track until this matter has been thoroughly investigated.

NOTICE TO MARINERS.
TURTLE ROCK, NADI BAY.

THE Notice to Mariners dated 21st January, 1931, appearing on page 24 of the Royal Gazette, 1931, is hereby cancelled owing to the structure under erection being demolished by the hurricane of the 21st February, 1931.

Mariners are warned to navigate these waters with caution as the wreckage from this structure will further reduce the depth of water over this shoal.

NOTICE TO MARINERS.

MARINERS are hereby notified that it has been reported that Naikorokoro and Vio Lights were damaged during the recent hurricane.

Temporary repairs have been affected, but these lights may not be functioning correctly.

Further notice will be issued when permanent repairs are completed.

Appointment of Issuing Officers for the purpose of issuing Licenses to take or kill Imported and Native Game in the Rotorua Acclimatization District.

PURSUANT to the provisions of Condition No. 1 of the Warrant dated the twelfth day of March, 1931, made under the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, and published in New Zealand Gazette, No. 20, of the thirteenth idem at page 610, declaring an open season for the taking or killing of imported game and native game in the Rotorua Acclimatization District, I, George Percival Newton, Under-Secretary of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint—

NOTICE is hereby given that, in accordance with the Public Service Act, 1912, and its amendments, and regulations made thereunder, an election will be held on Monday, the 18th day of May, 1931, at Wellington, for the purpose of electing members of the Public Service Board of Appeal.

Nominations, to be made on forms obtainable from the Secretary, Public Service Commissioner, must reach the Returning Officer, Public Service Commissioner’s Office, Wellington, not later than noon on Saturday, the 4th April, 1931.
