Boundaries of Borough of Masterton and County of Masterton altered.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of March, 1931.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS in pursuance of section one hundred and thirty-two of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, a petition was presented to the Governor-General praying that a certain area be excluded from the Borough of Masterton and included in the County of Masterton:

And whereas it is deemed expedient to exclude from the Borough of Masterton and include in the County of Masterton the area described in the Schedule hereto, and to declare to what riding of the said county the area so included therein shall be added:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that as on and from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the Borough of Masterton and included in the County of Masterton, and with the like advice and consent doth hereby further declare that the area included as aforesaid in the County of Masterton shall be added to and form part of the Te Whiti Riding of that county.


SCHEDULE.

AREA EXCLUDED FROM THE BOROUGH OF MASTERTON AND INCLUDED IN THE COUNTY OF MASTERTON.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the north-western boundary of Section 9, Masterton Small Farms Settlement, distant 250 links from the south-western side of Johnstone Street; thence south-easterly along a line parallel to and distant 250 links from the south-western side of Johnstone Street to

the south-eastern boundary of Section 9, Masterton Small Farms Settlement aforesaid; thence south-westerly along that boundary to the Kuripuni Stream; thence up that stream to the north-western boundary of the said Section 9; thence north-easterly along that boundary to the point of commencement.

Consenting to stopping Portions of Road in Block V, Ngatapa Survey District, Waikohu County.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Waikohu County Council stopping the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land described in the Schedule hereto, being taken for the purposes of a substation-site.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land permitted to be taken: 6·61 perches.

Being portion of Lot 14, D.P. 8673, being part Section 272.

Situated in the City of Wellington (Town of Wellington R.D.). (S.O. 2600.)
