CROWN LANDS NOTICES.

Land in the Auckland Land District for Sale or Selection.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 16th February, 1931.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be opened for selection in terms of the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Friday, 20th March, 1931.

The land may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or on deferred payments, or be selected on renewable lease.

Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Tuesday, 24th March, 1931, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant so desires he may be examined by the Land Board of any other district.

The ballot will be held immediately on conclusion of the examination of applicants.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.

Taumarunui County.—Ongarue Survey District.

Native Land Settlement Account.

SECTION 11, Block X: Area, 553 acres. Capital value, £375. Deposit on deferred payments, £20; half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £11 10s. 9d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £9 7s. 6d.

Grazing property, situated on the Kokomiko Road, six miles from Waimiha Post-office, school, and railway-station, by metalled road. Approximately 290 acres bush land, felled and grassed; balance in standing bush and scrub. Hilly and broken section, the soil being pumice resting on rhyolite and sandstone formation. Subdivided into six paddocks. Well watered by running streams.

Weighted with £1,180, for improvements comprising dwelling (two rooms), wool-shed, cow-byre, garage, sheep yards and dip, piping for water-supply, 78 chains road-fencing, 60 chains boundary-fencing, 160 chains subdivisional fencing (all in good order) felling and grassing. This sum is payable in cash, or by a cash deposit of £30, balance to be secured on terms to be arranged.

Special Condition.—All timber situated on the southern portion, comprising approximately 110 acres, has been sold to the Marton Sash, Door, and Timber Company, Ltd., whose rights to work this timber are reserved.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be offered for sale for cash by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, the 25th March, 1931, at 2.30 o’clock p.m., under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, and amendments.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

Raglan County.—Whaingaroa Survey District.

(Native Land Settlement Account.)

SECTION 1, Block XI: Area, 26 acres 2 roods 4 perches. Upset price, £27.

Property situated approximately seventeen miles from Ngaruawahia, alongside the Waingaro Stream. Approximately 6 acres in bush; balance open land in natural state. Blackberry in evidence.

TERMS OF SALE.

One-fifth of the purchase-money on the fall of the hammer, and the balance, together with £1 (certificate-of-title fee), within thirty days thereafter, otherwise the part of the purchase-money paid by way of deposit shall be forfeited, and the sale of the land declared null and void.

Title will be subject to Part XIII of the Land Act, 1924.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned lands will be offered for lease by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, at 2.30 o’clock p.m. on Wednesday, 25th March, 1931, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, and amendments.

SCHEDULE.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

Vincent County.—Tiger Hill Survey District.

(Situated within the boundaries of Otago Mining District.)

SECTION 69, Block II: Area, 7 acres 1 rood 4 perches. Upset capital value, £25. Upset half-yearly rent, 10s.

Weighted with £17 5s. for improvements comprising fencing. This sum is payable in cash.

Situated about one-quarter of a mile distant from Ophir and about one mile and a half from Omakau Railway-station. Area broken by mine-workings, but rough grazing available. Watered by water-race. Soil of schisty nature, resting on gravel formation.

Section 76, Block II: Area, 6 acres 0 roods 14 perches. Upset capital value, £25. Upset half-yearly rent, 10s.

Weighted with improvements as follows: 2 acres rough pasture, £1 10s.; fencing, £12 10s.; sun-dried brick whare 12 ft. by 9 ft., iron roof, with detached iron shed, £20: total, £34. This sum is payable in cash.

The section is situated within half a mile of Ophir Township and two miles from Omakau Railway-station, by good metalled road. The section is broken by mine-workings, with about 2 acres workable. Fairly level in centre of area. Northerly aspect. The soil is of schisty loam resting on gravel and rock formation, and is watered by old mine-workings.

Section 81, Block II: Area, 9 acres 1 rood 2 perches. Upset capital value, £45. Upset half-yearly rent, 18s.

Weighted with £8 10s. for improvements comprising fencing. This sum is payable in cash.

Situated between Township of Ophir and Manuherikia River and about two miles distant from Omakau Railway-station. Area broken by mine-workings. Fair summer grazing all over area. The soil is of schisty loam resting on gravel formation. The section is well watered by race and swamp.
