of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Wednesday, the twenty-fifth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, as the time at which the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction for cash; and I do hereby fix the price at which the said land shall be sold as that mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

Property situated approximately seventeen miles from Ngaruawahia, alongside the Waingaro Stream. Approximately 6 acres in bush; balance open land in natural state. Blackberry in evidence.

Notifying the proposed Exchange of Crown Land in the Marlborough Land District for other Land.

———

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and sixty of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor-General, whenever he deems it expedient in the public interest, to grant in fee-simple any area of Crown land which is subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, in exchange for the fee-simple of any other land, and on any such exchange to pay or receive any sum by way of equality of exchange:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to exchange the Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, and the owner of the land described in the Second Schedule has agreed to such exchange:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the aforesaid powers and authorities, doth hereby declare it is his intention to grant in fee-simple the area of Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto in exchange for the fee-simple of the land described in the Second Schedule.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF LAND AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED.

ALL that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing by admeasurement 8 acres 1 rood 23 perches, being originally part of Section 3c of 2, Mangamaunu Native Block, situated in Block XV, Puhipuhi Survey District, and being the land shown as Lot A of plan 1546/76, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, at Blenheim.

Also all that area in the said land district, containing by admeasurement 7·6 perches, being originally part of the above-described Native block, and being the land shown as Lot B on the said plan 1546/76.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR.

ALL that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 1 rood 10 perches, being portion of 3b of 2, Mangamaunu Native Block, situated in Block XV, Puhipuhi Survey District, and being the land shown as Lot C on plan 1546/76, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Blenheim.

Also all that area in the said district, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 3 roods 8·2 perches, being portion of 3A of 2 of the said Native Block, and being the land shown as Lot D on the said plan 1546/76.

Also all that area in the said district, containing by admeasurement 2·4 perches, being portion of 3c of 2 of the said Native block, and being the land shown as Lot E on plan 1546/76.

Also all that area in the said district, containing by admeasurement 14·9 perches, being portion of 3c of 2 of the said Native block, and being the land shown as Lot F on plan 1546/76.

Lands set apart in the Taranaki Land District as a Public-school Site and as Additions to Public-school Sites.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by section thirty-three of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, it is enacted that the Governor-General may, on the recommendation of the Land Board of the district in which are situated any reserves or endowments vested in the Crown by or in pursuance of section two of the Education Reserves Amendment Act, 1910, or of section twenty-two of the first-mentioned Act, set apart as sites for public schools, secondary schools, or technical schools any part of such reserves or endowments:

And whereas the Land Board of the Taranaki Land District has duly passed a resolution recommending that the lands described in the Schedule hereto should be set apart as additions to public-school sites and a public-school site, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Acts aforesaid, do hereby set apart the lands described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be set apart.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, being Section 191, Town of Oakura, Block II, Wairau Survey District: Bounded towards the north-east by Section 193, Town of Oakura, 300 links; towards the south-east by Section 192, Town of Oakura, 167 links; towards the south-west by Section 189, Town of Oakura, 300 links; and towards the north-west by Hussey Street, 167 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/552I, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink. For an addition to a public-school site (Oakura).

Also all that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, being Section 193, Town of Oakura, Block II, Wairau Survey District: Bounded towards the north-east by Pitcairn Street, 300 links; towards the south-east by Section 194, Town of Oakura, 167 links; towards the south-west by Section 191, Town of Oakura, 300 links; and towards the north-west by Hussey Street, 167 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/552J, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink. For an addition to a public-school site (Oakura).

Also all that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, being Section 194, Town of Oakura, Block II, Wairau Survey District: Bounded towards the north-east by Pitcairn Steet, 300 links; towards the south-east by Donnelly Street, 167 links; towards the south-west by Section 192, Town of Oakura, 300 links; and towards the north-west by Section 193, Town of Oakura, 167 links: be all the aforesaid linkages, more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/552K, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink. For an addition to a public-school site (Oakura).

Also all that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Subs. 34 and 35 of Section 93, New Plymouth Borough, Fitzroy District: Bounded towards the north-east by Sub. 33 of Section 93, Fitzroy District, 400·24 links; towards the south-east by Subs. 20, 21, 22, and 23 of Section 93 aforesaid, 249·8 links; towards the south-west by Sub. 36 of Section 93 aforesaid, 400·20 links; and towards the north-west by Barriball Street, 249·8 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/552L, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink. For an addition to a public-school site (Fitzroy).

Also all that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Sub. 1, part Section 132, Huirangi District, Block XIII, Waitara Survey District (S.O. plan 6955): Bounded towards the north-east by other part Section 132 aforesaid, 327·41 links; towards the south-east by other part Section 132 aforesaid, 367·27 links; towards the west by Richmond Road, 350·0 links; and towards the north-west by Lot 1, D.P. 4840, 243·58 links; be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/552M, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink. For a public-school site.
