may issue a Proclamation that such land has become Crown
land:
And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the
Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of
the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909,
and its amendments:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of the
Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim that the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto
has become Crown land.
SCHEDULE.
BLOCK II, WAOKU SURVEY DISTRICT.
AHIKAWARIKI No. 6B1 Block : Approximate area : 6 acres.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 12th day of

Revoking a Proclamation taking Land for the Purposes of a
Road in Block V, Kaeo Survey District, Whangaroa County.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of
every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in
this behalf, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the fourteenth day of May, one thousand nine
hundred and twenty, and published in the New Zealand
Gazette, No. 50, of the twentieth day of the same month,
taking land for the purposes of a road in Block V, Kaeo
Survey District, Whangaroa County.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 13th day of
February, 1931.

authorizing the Laying-off of Streets in the City of Palmerston
North of a Width of less than 66 ft., but not less than 50 ft.,
subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 16th day of
February, 1931.
Present:
His ExCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by
the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the Public Works
Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anyway enabling him
in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth
hereby authorize the Palmerston North City Council to
permit the laying-off of the proposed streets, described in
the Schedule hereto, of a width of less than sixty-six feet
but not less than fifty feet, subject to the condition that no
building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on
the land fronting the said streets within a distance of thirty-five feet from the centre-lines of the said streets.
SCHEDULE.
Those proposed streets in the Wellington Land District,
City of Palmerston North, containing by admeasurement
1 acre 0 roods 7.73 perches, more or less, being portion of
Sections 782, 784, 786, 788, and 790, Town of Palmerston
North. As the same are more particularly delineated on the
plan marked P.W.D. 80636, deposited in the office of the
Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured
red.

Authorizing the Exchange of a Reserve in Town of Waipu
Extension No. 2, Waipu Parish, North Auckland Land
District, for other Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 16th day of
February, 1931.
Present:
His ExCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the First Schedule hereto
is a reserve duly set apart for recreation purposes:
And whereas it is expedient that the said land should be
exchanged for the land described in the Second Schedule
hereto, which the Governor-General deems at least of equal
value and more suitable for the purposes of the reserve:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon
him by section eight of the Public Reserves, Domains, and
National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the land
described in the First Schedule hereto may be exchanged for
the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF RESERVE AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED.
North Auckland Land District.
LOT 8 of part Allotment 21, Town of Waipu Extension No. 2,
Waipu Parish : Area, 1 rood 17.6 perches.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE
THEREFOR.
North Auckland Land District.
LOT 13 of part Allotment 21, Town of Waipu Extension No. 2,
Waipu Parish : Area, 2 roods 12 perches.

Authorizing the Native Land Court to exercise Jurisdiction in
the matter of certain Crown Lands intended to be reserved for
Natives.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 16th day of
February, 1931.
Present:
His ExCELLENCE THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by subsection seven of section thirty-nine
of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land
Claims Adjustment Act, 1927, the Governor-General may,
upon the application of the Minister of Lands, by Order in
Council confer upon the Native Land Court jurisdiction to
make orders under the said section thirty-nine in respect of
any Crown land which there is good reason to believe was
intended to be reserved or set apart for the use, benefit, or
occupation of Natives:
And whereas there is good reason to believe that the Crown
land known as Section 8, Block X, Orahiri Survey District,
was intended to be reserved or set apart for the use, benefit, or
occupation of Natives:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the power and authority hereinbefore mentioned, and all
other powers thereunto him enabling, and acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, doth hereby confer upon the Native Land Court
jurisdiction to make orders under the said section thirty-nine
in respect of and incidental to the land known as Section 8,
Block X, Orahiri Survey District.
