APPLICATION FOR A LICENSE FOR A DRY RACE.
To the Warden of the Otago Mining District, at Cromwell.
PURSUANT to the Mining Act, 1926, the undersigned John Leopold Stewart Wright, of Cromwell, Accountant, hereby applies for a license for a dry race, as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.
Precise time of marking out privilege applied for: 15th January, 1931, at 11.30 a.m.
Date and number of miner’s right: 25/8/30; 24280.
Address for service: Brodrick and Parcell, Solicitors, Cromwell.
Dated at Cromwell, this 28th day of January, 1931.
SCHEDULE.
Locality of the race, and of its starting and terminal points: Commencing at a point in water-race held under License No. 1531, dated 15th April, 1904, at a point in Section 76, Block III, Cromwell Survey District, approximately 52 yards from Burn Cottage Road, running through said Section 76 in a northerly direction for a distance of approximately 100 yards, and then in an easterly direction for a distance of approximately 300 yards, and terminating at settling-tank on said Section 76.
Length and intended course of race: 400 yards; north-east.
Points of intake: One, in Water-race 1531; 15/4/04.
Estimated time and cost of construction: Already constructed.
Mean depth and breadth: 6 in. by 1 ft.
Number of heads to be diverted: One.
Purpose for which water is to be used: Irrigation and domestic.
Proposed term of license: Twenty-one years.

NOTICE OF EXTRAORDINARY RESOLUTION PASSED TO WIND UP THE COMPANY VOLUNTARILY.
NOTICE is hereby given that the above company, at an extraordinary general meeting held on the 2nd day of February, 1931, passed the following extraordinary resolution:—
“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily; and that HAROLD COXHEAD, of Timaru, Accountant, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”

MESSRS. HOLMES, RODGER, AND KELLY, CARRYING ON UNDER THE STYLE OR FIRM NAME OF “THE TE AWAMUTU SERVICE STATION.”
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between HARRY VIVIAN HOLMES, GUY HAYDN RODGER, and BARTON ALISON KELLY, carrying on the business of a motor-service station at Te Awamutu under the style or firm name of “The Te Awamutu Service Station,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty.
All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid respectively by the said Harry Vivian Holmes who will continue to carry on the said business on his own account under the same style or firm of “The Te Awamutu Service Station.”

Copy of resolution confirmed by the shareholders of UNIVERSAL DISTRIBUTORS, LIMITED, at a meeting held at the office of the company on 4th February, 1931, at 3.30 o’clock p.m.
Resolved: “That in view of the effect of the decision of the Court that the business of the company cannot be carried on lawfully, the company go into voluntary liquidation forthwith, and that DAVID PENMAN, Public Accountant, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator.”
