Authorizing the Exchange of a Road Reserve in Block IV, Tiffin Survey District, Wellington Land District, for other Land.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of February, 1930.
Present:
His Excellency THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the First Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for a road: And whereas it is expedient that the said land should be exchanged for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, which the Governor-General deems of equal value and more suitable for the purposes of the reserve:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section eight of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto may be exchanged for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF RESERVE AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, situated in the County of Masterton, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 1·1 perches, more or less, being portion of Section 47, Manaia Block Registration District, Block IV, Tiffin Survey District, and shown as road reserve on the plan of the Town of Masterton Extension No. 8: As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 25/358A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, situated in the County of Masterton, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 27·6 perches, more or less, being portion of Section 47, Manaia Block Registration District, Block IV, Tiffin Survey District, and being portions of Lots 18 and 19 on the plan of the Town of Masterton Extension No. 8: As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 25/358A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

WHEREAS the land described in the First Schedule hereto forms part of a reserve duly set apart for the purposes of abattoirs, public pounds, sewage, cattle-yards, and plantations: And whereas it is expedient that the said land should be exchanged for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, which the Governor-General deems of equal value and more suitable for the purposes of the reserve:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section eight of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto may be exchanged for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

being part of Reserve Number 2364, situated in Block XVI, Rangiora Survey District, and Block IV, Christchurch Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the east, north, and west by Rural Section Number 14307, 3798·9 links, 500 links, and 954·9 links respectively; again towards the north by Rural Section Number 11269, 678·5 links; again towards the east by Rural Section Number 11270, 1144·3 links; towards the south by part Reserve Number 1835, 1379·0 links; again towards the west by Rural Section Number 14308, 3587·2 links; and again towards the north-west by a public road, 291·0 links: As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/1/468, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District containing by admeasurement 20 acres, more or less, and being Rural Section Number 14308, situated in Block XVI, Rangiora Survey District, and Block IV, Christchurch Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the east by part of Reserve Number 2364 and part of Reserve Number 1835, 4268·0 links; towards the south by part Reserve Number 1835 and a public road, 500·0 links; towards the west by part Reserves Numbers 1835 and 2364, 3738·1 links; and again towards the north-west by a public road, 728·6 links: As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/1/468A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.

Cancelling the Reservation over Parts of a Reserve in Block XII, Kowai Survey District, Canterbury Land District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of February, 1930.

His Excellency THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby cancel the reservation as a reserve for the uses of the Provincial Government, and particularly as a paddock for police horses, over the lands described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that the said lands, being vested in the Crown, are Crown lands available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District containing by admeasurement 4 acres 1 rood 26·5 perches, more or less, and being part of Reserve Number 425, situated in Block XII, Kowai Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-east by part of Reserve Number 425, 343·3 links; towards the south-east and again towards the north-east by Crown land, 1234·0 links and 100·0 links respectively; again towards the south-east by Rural Section Number 6471, 343·2 links; and again towards the west generally by a public road 229·9, 203·7, 315·5, 234·8, and 723·9 links.
Also all that area in the Canterbury Land District containing by admeasurement 22 acres 1 rood 11 perches, more or less, and being part of Reserve Number 425 situated in Block XII, Kowai Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-east by part of Reserve Number 425, Crown land, and a public road, 1055·5 links, 128·5 links, and 346·7 links respectively; towards the south-east by Rural Section Number 6471, 1687·0 links; towards the south-west by a public road, 1327·2 links; and again towards the north-west by Rural Sections Numbers 18936 and 37145, 1994·2 links; save and except thereout the portion of road closed by notice published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 19th February, 1920, page 539, for which allowance has been made in the area: As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/1507A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
