BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section four of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

Sidney Hall

to be an Inspector under the said Act in respect to the scenic reserves described in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 28 acres 1 rood 20 perches, more or less, being Reserve No. 4229 (formerly part of Rural Section No. 31968), situated in Block VII, Akaroa Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the south-east by Rural Section No. 34899 and Reserve No. 3361, 3188 links; towards the south-west and west generally by Rural Section No. 31968, 1247·1, 587·8, 454·0, 219·3, and 342·2 links; and again towards the north-west by Section 13, Kinloch Settlement, 2051·9 links.

Also all that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 6 acres 2 roods 27 perches, more or less, being Reserve No. 4230 (formerly part of Rural Section No. 34860), situated in Block VII, Akaroa Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-west generally by Rural Section No. 34860, 217·9, 462·9, 369·9, and 317·7 links; again towards the north-east by Rural Section No. 34860, 753·1 links; again towards the south-east by Rural Section No. 34860, 391·0, and 301·9 links; and again towards the south and west generally by the Wainui Road, a total of 1107·8 links. As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/433E, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Lands set apart in the Taranaki Land District as Public-school Sites and Additions to Public-school Sites.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by section thirty-three of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, it is enacted that the Governor-General may, on the recommendation of the Land Board of the district in which are situated any reserves or endowments vested in the Crown by or in pursuance of section two of the Education Reserves Amendment Act, 1910, or of section twenty-two of the first-mentioned Act, set apart as sites for public schools, secondary schools, or technical schools any part of such reserves or endowments:

And whereas the Land Board of the Taranaki Land District has duly passed a resolution recommending that the lands described in the Schedule hereto should be set apart as public-school sites and additions to public school sites, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Acts aforesaid, do hereby set apart the lands described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be set apart.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being part Section 784, Grey District, on deposited plan No. 620, Block IX, Paritutu Survey District: Bounded towards the north-east by part Section 784, Grey District, on deposited plan No. 4044, 200 links; towards the south-east by Carrington Road, 500 links; towards the south-west by Lot 4, D.P. 4120, being part Section 784, Grey District, 200 links; and towards the north-west by part Section 784, Grey District, on deposited plan No. 4044, 500 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/552, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink. For an addition to a public-school site (Carrington Road).

Also all that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres, more or less, being Section 37, Block VIII, Kaupokonui Survey District: Bounded towards the north by part Section 3, Block VIII, Kaupokonui Survey District, 467·1 links; towards the east by Lot 2, D.P. 4334, being part said Section 3, and Sub. 1, D.P. 1669, 419·5 links; towards the south by Opunake Road, 486·4 links; and towards the west by Palmer Road, 528·7 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/552A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink. For a public-school site (Mahoe).

Also all that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, being Sections 200 and 201, Town of Inglewood: Bounded towards the north-west by Sections 193 and 194, Town of Inglewood, 450 links; towards the north-east by James Street, 112 links; towards the south-east by Sections 209 and 210, Town of Inglewood, 450 links; and towards the south-west by Standish Street, 112 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/552B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink. For an addition to a public-school site (Inglewood Main).

Also all that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Lot 1, D.P. 1470, being part Section 13, Block VIII, Egmont Survey District: Bounded towards the north-east by part Section 15, Block VIII, Egmont Survey District, and Lot 1, D.P. 3246, 267·7 links; towards the south-east by Durham Road, 327·1 links; towards the south-west by part Section 13 above mentioned, 442·4 links; and towards the north-west by the said part Section 13, 271·4 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/552C, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink. Also all that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 6·7 perches, more or less, being part Section 7, D.P. 1006, Block VII, Egmont Survey District: Bounded towards the north-east by part Section 8, D.P. 1006, 249·6 links; towards the south-east by Lot 1, D.P. 4979, 243·1 links; and towards the south-west by the said Lot 1, 297·4 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/552D, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink. For an addition to a public-school site (Kaimiro).

Also all that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 13·3 perches, more or less, being part Section 8, D.P. 1006, Block VII, Egmont Survey District: Bounded towards the south-east by Mangaoraka Stream, 410 links; towards the south-west by Lot 1, D.P. 4979, and part Section 7, D.P. 1006, 305 links; and towards the north-west by Lepper Road, 516 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/552E, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink. For an addition to a public-school site (Kaimiro).

Also all that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 roods 3 perches, more or less, being Lots 3, 4, 5, Block I, D.P. 20, Town of Midhirst West, being part Section 35, Manganui District, Block XIII, Huiroa Survey District: Bounded towards the north-east by Lot 6, Block I, D.P. 20, 205 links; towards the south-east by Lots 15, 16, and 17, Block I, D.P. 20, 375 links; towards the south-west by Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 20, 205 links; and towards the north-west by Denmark Street, 375 links; be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/552F, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink. For an addition to a public-school site (Midhirst).

Also all that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres, more or less, being Section 114, Block XII, Cape Survey District: Bounded towards the north by Cape Road, 500·2 links; towards the east by South Road, 371·3 links; towards the south by Section 66, Block XII, Cape Survey District, 636·5 links; and towards the west by the said Section 66, 396 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
