Land temporarily reserved in the Auckland Land District for a Site for a Public School (Piripiri).

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart temporarily as reserves, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :

Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for a site for a public school (Piripiri).

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 0 roods 38 perches, more or less, being part Section 8, Block X, Kawhia South Survey District, bounded towards the north-west and north-east by a public road, 368·2, 315·7, and 359·2 links ; towards the south-east by Section 3, Block XI, Kawhia South Survey District, 426·4 links ; and towards the south-west generally by the Tuahaua Stream and part Section 8, Block X, Kawhia South Survey District, 94·7 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/565, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. Notifying the Proposed Exchange of Crown Land in the North Auckland Land District for other Land.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and sixty of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor-General, whenever he deems it expedient in the public interest, to grant in fee-simple any area of Crown land which is subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, in exchange for the fee-simple of any other land, and on any such exchange to pay or receive any sum by way of equality of exchange :

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to exchange the Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, and the owner of the land described in the Second Schedule has agreed to such exchange, and the Crown has agreed to pay a sum of money by way of equality of exchange :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the aforesaid powers and authorities, doth hereby declare it is his intention to grant in fee-simple the area of Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto in exchange for the fee-simple of the land described in the Second Schedule.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF LAND AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Sections 103 and 105, Village of Leigh. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/501, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. SECOND SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Section 47, Village of Leigh. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/501A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. Notifying Land in Hawke’s Bay Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Land Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Thursday, the twenty-second day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, as the time at which the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction for cash or on deferred payments ; and I do hereby fix the price at which the said land shall be sold as that mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

Lot 1 of Subdivision 4 of Section 306, Town of Napier : Area, 5·94 perches. Upset price, £200. Deposit, £20 ; half-yearly instalment, £5 17s.

Situated on the east side of Hastings Street, adjacent to house property numbered 224.

This section is not large enough to permit of the erection of a dwelling, but would be suitable for a shop-site.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Land Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Monday, the ninth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, as the time at which the land described in the First Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction for cash only and the lands in the Second Schedule for cash or on deferred payments, and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedules hereto.
