Amending Regulations under the Explosive and Dangerous Goods Act, 1908.—Amendment No. 15.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 10th day of December, 1930.

Present:

THE HON. SIR APIRANA NGATA, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the Explosive and Dangerous Goods Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend the regulations made under the said Act on the twenty-seventh day of July, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, and gazetted on the thirtieth day of July then instant, as amended by the regulations made on the twentieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, and gazetted on the twenty-third day of June, then instant, by revoking clause one hundred and sixty, and in lieu thereof doth order that on and after the eleventh day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, the following regulation shall take effect for the purposes of the said Act, and shall form part of the above-recited regulations.

REGULATION.

IMPORTATION OF EXPLOSIVES.

  1. THE fee to be charged for each importation license shall be as follows:—

For every 2,000 lb. or portion of 2,000 lb. gross weight of explosives specified in the license, £3.

Postmaster appointed to take and receive Statutory Declarations.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that Alexander Davie, being a person holding the office of Postmaster under the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928, at Pukerau, is authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

As witness my hand, this 4th day of December, 1930.

Rangers under the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, appointed.

IT is hereby notified that, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred by section 35 of the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, the undermentioned persons have been appointed Rangers under and for the purposes of that Act for the Wellington Acclimatization District:—

Appointment of Child Welfare Officers under the Child Welfare Act, 1925.

Joseph Bertram Graves, of Hanmer,

to be an officer for the purposes of Part II of the first-mentioned Act, in respect of the North Canterbury Acclimatization District.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 37 of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, I, Alfred James Murdoch, Minister of Agriculture, do hereby appoint Robert McKinlay, being an Inspector appointed under Part I of the said Act, to be a member of the East Coast Rabbit Board, vice David Ross.

NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of the power and authority vested in me by section 3 of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1921–22, I, the Public Trustee of the Dominion of New Zealand, have appointed Gordon Gray, of the Public Trust Office, Greymouth, to be Deputy of the District Public Trustee, Greymouth, during the absence of such District Public Trustee from his headquarters, and all previous appointments in this behalf are hereby revoked.
