Notifying Land in Southland Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Land Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Monday, the fifteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, as the time at which the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction for cash, and I do hereby fix the price at which the said land shall be sold as that mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—RURAL LAND.

Wallace County.

SECTION 234, Block XIII, Wairoa Survey District: Area, 4 acres 2 roods 20 poles. Upset price, £15.

Situated about a mile from Woodlaw Railway-siding. Mostly swampy land.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 1st day of November, 1930.

Warrant authorizing the New Lynn Borough Council to construct a new Road Traffic-bridge over the Whau Creek on the Auckland—Helensville Main Highway (together with Approaches thereto), and apportioning the Cost.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by section one hundred and thirty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby authorize the New Lynn Borough Council to construct the bridge (together with approaches thereto) described in the Schedule hereto; and I do also declare that the cost thereof, less such contribution (if any) as may be made thereto by the Government of New Zealand or the Main Highways Board shall be borne by the New Lynn Borough Council, the Auckland City Council, the Waitemata County Council, the Mount Albert Borough Council, the Henderson Town Board, the Glen Eden Town Board, the Mount Eden Borough Council, and the Helensville Town Board in the following proportions—viz., the New Lynn Borough Council shall pay twenty-six (26) per centum, the Auckland City Council shall pay forty-five and one-half (45½) per centum, the Waitemata County Council shall pay twelve and one-half (12½) per centum, the Mount Albert Borough Council shall pay one and one-half (1½) per centum, the Henderson Town Board shall pay seven and one-half (7½) per centum, the Glen Eden Town Board shall pay five and one-half (5½) per centum, the Mount Eden Borough Council shall pay one (1) per centum, and the Helensville Town Board shall pay one-half (½) per centum of such cost respectively; and I do further direct that any contribution hereby required to be made as aforesaid by the Auckland City Council, the Waitemata County Council, the Mount Albert Borough Council, the Henderson Town Board, the Glen Eden Town Board, the Mount Eden Borough Council, and the Helensville Town Board shall be paid from time to time, in the proportion hereinbefore prescribed, out of the funds of the said Councils and Boards within a period of one month after demand in writing made by or on behalf of the New Lynn Borough Council, and all such payments shall be made from time to time to the Town Clerk, New Lynn, for and on behalf of the said Councils and Boards.

SCHEDULE.

THAT bridge in the North Auckland Land District over the Whau Creek on the Auckland-Helensville Main Highway (together with approaches thereto). As the site of the said bridge and approaches is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 80304, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 5th day of November, 1930.

Appointing a Member of the Main Highways Board.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by a Warrant dated the nineteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 74, of the thirtieth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, the appointment of Albert Edward Jull, Esquire, of Waipawa, Brewer, as a member of the Main Highways Board in terms of subsection three, clause (c), of section five of the Main Highways Act, 1922, was cancelled:

And whereas it is considered expedient to appoint another member to the said Board:

And whereas William Morrison, Esquire, of Wanganui, Farmer, has been recommended by the executive body of the New Zealand Counties Association:

Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Main Highways Act, 1922, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, do hereby appoint the said William Morrison to be a member of the Main Highways Board, in terms of subsection three, clause (c) of section five of the Main Highways Act, 1922.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 7th day of November, 1930.

Appointing a Member of the Auckland Harbour Board.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

WHEREAS it is provided by section thirty-seven of the Harbours Act, 1923, that the office of any member of a Harbour Board shall become vacant if, inter alia, he dies:

And whereas it is provided by subsection two of section thirty-eight of the said Act that when an elective member, other than a representative of a constituent district, vacates his office on the Board through the operation of the said section thirty-seven, the Governor-General may, by Warrant under his hand, appoint some qualified person in his place:

And whereas Campbell Johnstone, an elective member of the Auckland Harbour Board, being the representative of the electors of the combined district of the Counties of Waikato, Raglan, and Waipa, recently died, and it is desirable to appoint a qualified person as a representative of the electors of the said combined district in his place:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the hereinbefore-recited power and authority, doth hereby appoint Frank Joseph Farrell, of Hamilton, to be a member of the Auckland Harbour Board as a representative of the electors of the said combined district, in place of the said Campbell Johnstone (deceased).

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 6th day of November, 1930.

Appointing a Member of the Napier Harbour Board.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

WHEREAS it is provided by subsection three of section thirty-eight of the Harbours Act, 1923, that in the event of an extraordinary vacancy in the office of a non-elective member of a Harbour Board, the Governor-General shall, by Warrant under his hand, appoint some qualified person in his place:

And whereas Benjamin Bousfield Creagh, a non-elective member of the Napier Harbour Board, has resigned his office as a member of the Board, and an extraordinary vacancy in the membership of the Board has thereby been created, and it is desirable to appoint a qualified person in his place:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the hereinbefore-recited power and authority, doth hereby appoint

to be a member of the Napier Harbour Board in the place of the said Benjamin Bousfield Creagh, resigned.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 7th day of November, 1930.
