Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notice, received from the Deputy Mayor, New Lynn Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

BOROUGH OF NEW LYNN.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the Borough of New Lynn, taken on the 18th day of September, 1930, on the proposal of the Borough Council to borrow the sum of £8,600 for the purpose of Waterworks Extensions, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 149; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 178; the number of informal votes was 11.

And I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

Further, that at a poll of ratepayers of the Borough of New Lynn, taken on the same day aforesaid, on the proposal of the Borough Council to borrow the sum of £4,650 for the purpose of streets re-construction, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 216; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 116; the number of informal votes was 5.

And I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Proposed Alteration of Boundaries of the Auckland and Suburban Drainage District.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Auckland and Suburban Drainage Board has presented a memorial requesting an alteration of boundaries of the Auckland and Suburban Drainage District by the inclusion therein of the area described in the Schedule hereto. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice. Such objections or petitions are to be addressed and forwarded to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

AREA PROPOSED TO BE INCLUDED IN AUCKLAND AND SUBURBAN DRAINAGE DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, bounded by a line commencing at the north-western corner of Allotment 125, Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland; thence along the north-eastern boundary of said Allotment 125 to Dominion Road; thence by a right line across Dominion Road to the north-western corner of Lot 1 of Allotment 115, Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland; thence along the southern side of Landscape Road to the north-eastern corner of said Lot 1; thence along the western and southern boundaries of Lot 2, Allotment 115 aforesaid, and the western boundaries of Lots 3, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20, to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence along the southern boundary of Allotment 115 aforesaid to Parau Road; thence across Parau Road and along the southern boundary of Allotment 92 of Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland, to the eastern side of a proposed road; thence northerly along that eastern side and crossing another proposed road to a point 209·09 links distant from Mount Eden Road; thence along a line parallel to and distant 209·09 links from Mount Eden Road to the southern side of Landscape Road; thence easterly along the southern side of Landscape Road, crossing Mount Eden Road, to the north-western corner of Lot 16 of Allotment 79, Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland; thence southerly along the western boundary of Lot 16 aforesaid, crossing Rewa Road, and along the western boundary of Lot 23, Allotment 79, Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland, to the north-eastern side of Three Kings Road; thence south-easterly along Three Kings Road to the southern boundary of Allotment 79, Section 10 aforesaid; thence easterly along that boundary to the eastern boundary of Lot 11, Allotment 80, Section 10 aforesaid; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of said Lot 11, to its south-eastern corner; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 2 and 1, Allotment 80 aforesaid, to the easternmost corner of Lot 1; thence along the southern boundary of Lot 1 aforesaid to Three Kings Road; thence across Three Kings Road and southerly along its western side to the northern side of Mount Albert Road; thence westerly generally along the northern side of Mount Albert Road to the western boundary of Allotment 122, Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland; thence along the western boundaries of Allotments 122, 123, 124, and 125, Section 10 aforesaid, to the north-western corner of said Allotment 125, the point of commencement.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries.—Borough of New Plymouth.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and amendments, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be excluded from the County of Taranaki and included in the Borough of New Plymouth.

All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration of boundaries which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

AREA PROPOSED TO BE EXCLUDED FROM THE COUNTY OF TARANAKI AND INCLUDED IN BOROUGH OF NEW PLYMOUTH.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded towards the north generally by the sea from the Henui Stream to the Waiwakaiho Stream; thence bounded towards the east by the Waiwakaiho Stream from the sea to the easternmost point of the northern boundary-line of the Borough of New Plymouth; thence bounded towards the south by the northern boundary of the Borough of New Plymouth to the Henui Stream; thence bounded towards the west by the Henui Stream to the sea, the place of commencement.

Notifying Land in the Wellington Land District subject to the Land for Settlement Act, 1925.

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, I hereby notify that the undermentioned land, being the land known as Gower Settlement, which has been acquired under the said Act, is subject to the said Act as from 22nd November, 1929.

SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—GOWER SETTLEMENT.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 185 acres 0 roods 5 perches, more or less, situate in Block XIII, Hautapu Survey District, being part of Otamakapua 1b Block, and being also Lot 26 and part of Lot 22 on D.P. 5866, and bounded as follows: Towards the north and east by part Lot 23, on D.P. 5866, from the Rangitikei River to the Peka Road; towards the south-east and south by the said Peka Road to a line 56·3 links distant from and parallel to the north-eastern boundary of Lot 25 on D.P. 5866; towards the south-west by the aforesaid line for a distance of 2866·6 links; towards the west by the eastern boundary of Lot 21 on D.P. 5866; and towards the north-west by the Rangitikei River to the boundary of Lot 23 aforesaid, the place of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan numbered L. and S. 21/312/15, deposited under No. 2436, in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.
