SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—OTARAO SETTLEMENT.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 128 acres, more or less, being Tarakiekie No. 2 Block, and being all the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Vol. 194, folio 94, and also all that area containing by admeasurement 468 acres 2 roods 28 perches, more or less, being Lots 1, 2, and 5, shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland as No. 23094, and being parts of Sections 24 and 26 of Block XI of the Mangakahia Survey District, and being all the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Vol. 615, folio 86. As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked L. and S. 21/149/188, and deposited under No. 2435 in the Head Office of the Lands and Survey Department, Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Applying the Provisions of Section 136 of the Public Works Act, 1928, to the Waimakariri River Bridge known as the Empire Bridge and situated on the Christchurch–Blenheim Main Highway and also to the new Waimakariri River Bridge situated on the New Line of the Christchurch–Blenheim Main Highway.
WHEREAS by resolution dated the 17th September, 1930, the Main Highways Board recommends in pursuance of section 7 of the Main Highways Act, 1925, that the provisions of section 136 of the Public Works Act, 1928, be applied to the Waimakariri River Bridge known as the Empire Bridge, and situated on the Christchurch–Blenheim Main Highway, and also to the new Waimakariri River Bridge situated on the new line of the Christchurch–Blenheim Main Highway.
Now, therefore, I, William Burgoyne Taverner, Minister of Public Works, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section 7 of the Main Highways Amendment Act, 1925, and of every other power in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby declare that the provisions of the said section 136 of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall apply in so far as affects the Waimakariri River Bridge known as the Empire Bridge, and situated on the Christchurch–Blenheim Main Highway, and also to the new Waimakariri River Bridge situated on the new line of the Christchurch–Blenheim Main Highway.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Blocks II and VI, Waitemata Survey District, for the Purposes of a State Forest.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of a State forest: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Riverhead, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Classification of Roads in Howick Town District.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and Motor-lorry Regulations, 1927, and their amendments, I, William Burgoyne Taverner, Minister of Transport, do hereby alter the classifications of the roads described in the Schedule hereto and situated in the Howick Town District, and do hereby declare that the said roads shall belong to the respective classes of roads shown in the said Schedule.

HOWICK TOWN DISTRICT.
ROADS classified in the First Class: Available for the use thereon of any motor-lorry (other than a multi-axled motor-lorry) which with the load it is carrying weighs not more than 10 tons, or any multi-axled motor-lorry which with the load it is carrying weighs not more than 15 tons.

Ridge Road from the District Boundary to Anglesea Street.
