All that area of national-endowment land containing 210 acres, more or less, being part of Sections 3286 and 3288, situated in Block IV, Waimea Survey District, held under Warden's grant No. 54/22, and bounded as follows : Commencing at the south - western corner of Section 3281, and proceeding along the southern boundary of the said section to a point on the western boundary of Section 3282; thence along the said western boundary, 1338 links, and along the western boundary of Section 3289, 5056.7 links, to its south-western corner ; thence along the southern boundary of the said Section 3288 for 5000 links; and thence on a bearing of 13° 30' for 8000 links to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan No. 125/18, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service, Wellington, and thereon bordered green.

Provisional State Forest No. 1743.

All that area of national-endowment land containing 316 acres, more or less, being parts of Sections 3292 and 3293, situated in Block IV, Waimea Survey District, held under Warden's grant No. 43/15, and bounded as follows : Commencing at the south-western corner of Section 1922, and proceeding along the southern boundary of Section 3292 for 3300 links; thence bearing 326° 30' for 5050 links to a point on the northern boundary of the said Section 3292; thence along the last-mentioned boundary for 3680 links, and across the Paroa-Marsden Road to a point on its north-eastern side; thence northerly along the said road-side to the south-western corner of Section 3290; thence along the southern boundary of that section for 2675° links; thence on a bearing 144° 30' for 2600 links; thence on a bearing of 109° for 2430 links; thence on a bearing of 147° 30' for 1575 links ; thence along the southern boundary of Section 3293 to the south-eastern corner of Section 1921, and along the eastern and northern boundaries of that section; thence again across the Paroa-Marsden Road; and thence along the northern and western boundaries of Section 1922 to the point of commencement. Excluding all internal roads and reserves. Provisional State Forest No. 1744.

All that area of national-endowment land containing 100 acres, more or less, being part of Section 3228, situated in Blocks XI and XII, Waimea Survey District, held under Warden's grant No. 1416, and bounded as follows : Commencing at the south-western corner of Section 1938, and proceeding along the south-western boundary of the said section 450 links, and along the said south-western boundary and across the Chesterfield Road on a bearing 116° 23' for 650 links; thence along the south-eastern side of the said road for 1000 links; thence on a bearing of 121° 30' for 175 links; thence on a bearing of 211° 30' for 1000 links; thence on a bearing of 301° 30' for 2750 links; thence on a bearing of 292° 32' for 1150 links; thence on a bearing of 303° 30' for 6100 links; thence on a bearing of 31° 30' for 1000 links; thence on a bearing of 121° 30' for 8750 links to a point on the north-western boundary of the said Section 1938; and thence along the said boundary 900 links to the point of commencement. Provisional State Forest No. 1745.

All that area containing 37 acres, more or less, of national-endowment land, and 71 acres, more or less, of Crown land, situated in Blocks X and XI, Waimea Survey District, being parts of Sections 3229 and 3305, held under Warden's grant No. 1628, and bounded as follows : Commencing at a point on the western side of the Stafford-Chesterfield Track at its intersection with the south-western boundary of Chesterfield Township, and proceeding along the said track-side for 4590 links; thence on a bearing of 290° for 2000 links; thence on a bearing of 20° for 4360 links; and thence on a bearing of 116° 15' for 3000 links to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan No. 125/22, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service, Wellington, and thereon bordered green.

Provisional State Forest No. 1746.

All that area of national-endowment land containing 357 acres, more or less, including part of Sections 3152 and 3153, situated in Block XIV, Waimea Survey District, held under Warden's grants No. 3913, 3977, and 4625, and bounded as follows : Commencing at the north-western corner of Section 3153, and proceeding along the northern boundary of that section and Section 3152 for 9500 links;

Provisional State Forest No. 1747.

All that area of national-endowment land containing 211 acres, more or less, and including part of Section 3641, situated in Block XII, Waimea Survey District, held under Warden's grants No. 1313 and 1813, and bounded as follows : Commencing at the intersection of the Erin-go-Bragh Water-race and the eastern boundary of Section 3249, and proceeding on a bearing 110° for 5300 links; thence on a bearing of 88° 30' for 1200 links to the western boundary of Reserve No. 1662; thence due south along the said western boundary for 4000 links; thence on a bearing of 268° 30' for 1100 links; thence on a bearing of 178° 30' for 500 links; thence on a bearing of 294° 45' for 3000 links; and thence on a bearing of 335° 45' for 5500 links to the point of commencement. Excluding all internal roads. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan No. 125/19, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service, Wellington, and thereon bordered green.

Provisional State Forest No. 1748.

All that area of Crown land containing 100 acres, more or less, situated in Block XII, Waimea Survey District, held under Warden's grant No. 1237, and bounded as follows : Commencing at a point 5900 links due north of the south-western corner of Provisional State Forest No. 1615 (Gazette, 1920, page 2839) and proceeding on a bearing of 257° for 2425 links; thence bearing 331° for 1210 links; thence bearing 16° for 1600 links; thence bearing 344° for 1640 links; thence bearing 47° for 1000 links; thence bearing 136° for 3200 links to the western boundary of the aforesaid reserve; and thence along the said boundary 180° for 2075 links to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan No. 125/20, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service, Wellington, and thereon bordered green.

Provisional State Forest No. 1749.

All that area of Crown land containing 84 acres, more or less, situated in Blocks I and V, Turiwhate Survey District, bounded as follows : Commencing at the southernmost corner of Section 2285, Block I, Turiwhate Survey District; thence running 5840 links on a bearing of 177° 30' to the northern boundary of Provisional State Forest No. 1616 (Gazette, 1920, page 2839); thence running along the said boundary 4540 links on a bearing of 317° 45'; and thence 3720 links on a bearing of 48° 31' to the point of commencement. As the same is delineated on plan No. 126/43, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as 'the said Act'), has recommended that the land described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:
