twopence per head for cattle. Provision shall be made for keeping different flocks of sheep and herds of cattle separate as far as possible.
(7) Any surplus fees after providing for the upkeep of the said reserve and after repayment of the survey charges incurred by the Lands Department shall be used for the improvement and maintenance of the Rotomanu Domain.
(8) Except under stress of weather, or in cases where roads are temporarily impassable, no stock which has been accommodated in the reserve for one night and one day shall be permitted to remain therein for any longer period if other stock requires accommodation which could not otherwise be provided except by the removal of the stock already in the reserve.
(9) Except for the purpose of consuming feed running to waste and keeping the pasture in good order, no stock other than travelling stock, and one horse as may be required for the use of the caretaker appointed by the Board, shall be permitted to graze within the boundaries of the said reserve.

Regulations prohibiting the taking of Trout, Perch, or Tench in a Portion of the Mataura River.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of September, 1930.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
HIS Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by sections eighty-three and ninety-four of the Fisheries Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following regulations and doth hereby order and declare that they shall come into and be in force on and from the publication thereof in the Gazette.
REGULATIONS.
(1) During the period from the 1st day of October, 1930, until the 31st day of September, 1931, both days inclusive, it shall be unlawful for any person to take trout, perch, or tench by any method whatsoever from that portion of the Mataura River more particularly described in the Schedule hereto.
(2) Any person committing a breach of the above regulation shall be liable to a fine of fifty pounds (£50).
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area of waters of the Mataura River between a straight line drawn across the said river from a point on the left bank in line with the northern boundary of Short Street, in the Borough of Mataura, and a straight line drawn across the said river at a distance of 20 chs. down stream from the line first hereinbefore described; the limits of the said area being more specifically shown by white posts, marked “Prohibited fishing limit,” and erected on the banks of the said river at the terminal points of the lines hereinbefore described.

Vesting the Control of a Scenic Reserve in the Kirk's Bush Scenic Board.
BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand doth hereby vest the control of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto (being land reserved under the said Act), in trust, for the purposes of scenery preservation, as from the date of this notice until the tenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-four (unless previously altered or revoked under the said Act),
in the Kirk's Bush Scenic Board, as constituted by notification dated the tenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, and published in Gazette of the seventeenth day of that month.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 1 rood 25 perches, more or less, being Lot 23, D.P. 15387, part Allotment 11, Opaheke Parish, and being all the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Vol. 364, folio 127, Auckland Registry.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 4th day of September, 1930.

Vesting the Control of a Scenic Reserve in the Invercargill City Council.
BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereunder referred to as “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand doth hereby vest the control of the scenic reserve described in the Schedule hereto (being land reserved under the said Act) in the Invercargill City Council, subject to the conditions hereinafter contained, that is to say:-

  1. The period for which the control of the reserve is hereby vested shall be three years from the date hereof, unless the reservation is previously altered or revoked under the said Act.
  2. The said Council shall prepare a report each year ending on the thirty-first day of March, together with a statement of receipts and expenditure in connection with the said reserve. Such report and statement shall be sent to the Minister charged with the administration of the said Act as soon as possible after the close of the year.
  3. The said Council shall control the said reserve in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the regulations made thereunder.
    SCHEDULE.
    WAIHOPAI RIVER SCENIC RESERVE.-SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.
    ALL that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 17 acres 1 rood, more or less, being part of Section 11, Block IV, Invercargill Hundred. Bounded towards the north-east by other part of Section 11, Block IV, Invercargill Hundred, 1141.8 links; towards the east by Elles Road, 425 links ; towards the south and again towards the east generally by a public road along the bank of the Waihopai River, 4830 links ; and towards the west by other part of said Section 11, 2861.7 links.
    Also all that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 12 acres 2 roods 20 perches, more or less, being part of Section 10, Block IV, Invercargill Hundred. Bounded towards the north-east by other part of Section 10, Block IV, Invercargill Hundred, 2277.6 links; towards the east by Section 9 of said block, 675 links; towards the south generally by the Waihopai River, 2850 links; and towards the west by Elles Road, 520 links.
    Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 400/41, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
    As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 4th day of September, 1930.
