The Western Side of Portion of Thorp Street, in the Borough of Motueka, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of September, 1930.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in any-wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Motueka Borough Council on the second day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, the portion of street affected by such resolution being more particularly described in the Schedule hereto, viz. :

“ The Motueka Borough Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the Borough of Motueka, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to that part or portion of Thorp Street fronting on to the adjoining Diocesan Trust Board’s land, part Section 154 ” ;

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the western side of the portion of Thorp Street (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.

SCHEDULE.

THE western side of all that portion of street situated in the Nelson Land District, Borough of Motueka, known as Thorp Street, fronting Section 154, Motueka Original District, Block IV, Motueka Survey District. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 79527, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Vesting a Reserve in the Akitio County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of September, 1930.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart for gravel purposes: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Akitio :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Akitio, in trust, for gravel purposes.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District containing by admeasurement 2 acres 3 roods 26 perches, more or less, being portion of Section 3, Block IX, Mount Cerberus Survey District ; as the same is delineated on plan numbered 130/25, deposited in the Wellington District Office, Department of Lands and Survey, and thereon coloured pink.

Vesting a Reserve in the Taumarunui Hospital Board.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of September, 1930.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart for a hospital-site: And whereas it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Taumarunui Hospital Board :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the ninth section of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date thereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Taumarunui Hospital Board, in trust, for a hospital-site.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 33, Ohura Suburban, Block V, Ohura Survey District : Area, 5 acres 1 rood 24 perches.

Vesting the Control of a Reserve for a Resting-place for Travelling Stock in the Rotomanu Domain Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of September, 1930.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a resting-place for travelling stock: And whereas it is expedient that the control of the said reserve should be vested in a special Board as hereinafter provided :

Now, therefore, His Excellency, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section seventeen of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby vest the control of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, for the period of five years from the date hereof (unless previously amended or revoked under the said Act), in the Rotomanu Domain Board, which is hereby constituted for that purpose a special Board with the powers and subject to the conditions hereinafter contained, that is to say :—

(1) The Board shall meet for the transaction of business in the Schoolroom, Rotomanu, at 8 o’clock p.m., on such dates as may be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall be held on Friday, the third day of October, one thousand nine hundred and thirty.

(2) The members of the Board shall at their first meeting, and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held at a time fixed by the Board, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor. If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose one of their number to be chairman of such meeting.

(3) All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting. Any three members of the Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

(4) Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman, provided that two days’ notice of any such meeting is given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

(5) The Board shall control the said reserve for the purpose of providing accommodation for travelling stock, and the reserve shall at all times be available for such purpose.

(6) The charges for grazing and paddocking stock shall not exceed two shillings per hundred head for sheep and
