Notifying Land in the Canterbury Land District subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

Wellington, 24th July, 1930.
PURSUANT to the provisions of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, I hereby notify that the undermentioned land, being the land known as Scotston Settlement, which has been acquired under the said Act, is subject to the said Act as from 8th October, 1929.
SCHEDULE.
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—SCOTSTON SETTLEMENT.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District containing by admeasurement 493 acres 1 rood 35 perches, more or less, and being Rural Sections Numbers 11453, 15902, parts 12681, 15903, 16568, 16948, and 17612, situated in Blocks X, XI, XIV, and XV, Otaio Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north by the Esk Valley Road; towards the south-east and south-west by a public road; and again towards the north-west generally by other parts of Rural Sections Numbers 17612, 16948, 15903, and 12681. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 21/149/271, deposited under No. 2412 in Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Date of Election by Fire Insurance Companies to fill Extraordinary Vacancies on Opotiki and Tauranga Fire Boards.

PURSUANT to the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, and the rules made thereunder, I, Philip Aldborough de la Perrelle, being the Minister charged with the administration of the said Act, do hereby appoint Monday, the 1st September, 1930, to be the date for holding the election of one member of each of the Opotiki and Tauranga Fire Boards by the fire-insurance companies concerned, such election being held to fill the extraordinary vacancies caused by the death of the late Mr. Percy Frank Coulthard.

THE following special order, made by the Christchurch City Council on the 4th day of August, 1930, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928.

SPECIAL ORDER.
THAT, in pursuance of the authority conferred by section 4 of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, the Christchurch City Council hereby declares convolvulus (Convolvulus arvensis and Convolvulus Calystegia sepium, both species) to be noxious weeds within its jurisdiction.
Classification of Streets in Pukekohe Borough.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and Motor-lorry Regulations, 1927, and their amendments, I, William Burgoyne Taverner, Minister of Transport, do hereby alter the classification of the streets described in the Schedule hereto and situated in the Pukekohe Borough, and do hereby declare that the said streets shall belong to the classes of streets as shown in the said Schedule.

STREETS classified in the Second Class: Available for the use thereon of any motor-lorry (other than a multi-axled motor-lorry) which with the load it is carrying weighs not more than 8 tons, or any multi-axled motor-lorry which with the load it is carrying weighs not more than 10 tons.
Belmont Road from Factory Road to borough boundary, Buckland Road to borough boundary, Commerce Street, East Street, Edinburgh Street South, Factory Road, Harris Street, Helvetia Road from West Road to Victoria Street, Jutland Road from West Street to Victoria Street, King Street, Kitchener Road West, Manakau Road, Massey Avenue from Manakau Road to Roulston Street, Paerata Road, Puni Road, Queen Street, Seddon Street, Tuakau Road, Victoria Street from Helvetia Road to borough boundary, Ward Street, West Road.
Streets classified in the Fourth Class: Available for the use thereon of any motor-lorry (other than a multi-axled motor-lorry) which with the load it is carrying weighs not more than 4½ tons, or any multi-axled motor-lorry which with the load it is carrying weighs not more than 6½ tons.
