The Wellington West Coast Regiment.

The undermentioned 2nd Lieutenants to be Lieutenants:—

The Canterbury Regiment.

Lieutenant F. J. B. Murray ceases to be posted to the 3rd C Battalion, and is posted to the 1st C Battalion. Dated 24th June, 1930.
The appointment of 2nd Lieutenant (on probation) H. I. Sinclair, 1st C Battalion, lapses. Dated 23rd June, 1930.

With reference to the notice published in the N.Z. Gazette, No. 69, of 17th October, 1929, relative to Lieutenant J. F. Moffat, for the words “4th C Battalion” read “1st C Battalion.”

N.Z. Air Force.

The undermentioned are posted to the Retired List with permission to retain their rank and wear the prescribed uniform:—

The Reverend G. B. Stephenson, M.Sc., Chaplain, 3rd Class, is transferred to the Reserve List, Class II, R.D. 7. Dated 1st July, 1930.
The Reverend T. N. Cuttle, Chaplain, 4th Class, is posted to the Retired List, with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 26th June, 1930.
The Reverend D. C. Herron, M.C., M.A., Chaplain, 3rd Class, is transferred from R.D. 1 to R.D. 11. Dated 2nd July, 1930.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Glen Eden Town District was taken on Wednesday, 2nd July, 1930, and resulted as follows: For the proposal 134; against, 77; informal, 1: total, 212.

The proposal was therefore carried by a majority of fifty-seven votes.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries: Kahutara River District.—County of Featherston.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under the River Boards Act, 1908, and amendments, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be included in the Kahutara River District. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposal which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed and forwarded to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

AREA PROPOSED TO BE INCLUDED IN THE KAHUTARA RIVER DISTRICT.—COUNTY OF FEATHERSTON.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, being part of part Section 1, Kahutara Block, Block XI, Wairarapa Survey District, bounded on the south-west by the Kahutara River District from the northern bank of the Whakawiriwiri Stream for a distance of 1730 links; thence by right lines bearing 117° 14′ distance 560 links, bearing 100° 29′ distance 490 links, bearing 149° 45′ distance 1177 links, bearing 52° 08′ distance 670 links; thence along the northern bank of the said Whakawiriwiri Stream to the point of commencement.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Road of less Width than 66 ft.

WHEREAS, in the opinion of the Minister of Lands, it is inexpedient, by reason of the fact that the land shown upon the plan of Town of Berwyn Hills Extension No. 2 affecting parts Sections 9, 10, 11, Harbour Registration District, in Block XII, Belmont Survey District, is intended to be used wholly for residential purposes, that Malvern Road shown therein should be of the width of 66 ft.:
