Proclaiming Native Land to have become Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia, that on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, the Governor-General may issue a Proclamation that such land has become Crown land:

And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, and its amendments:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has become Crown land.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land, containing 21,282 acres, more or less, being Lots 5, 6, 7, and 8 on deposited plan 2482, parts of the Mangatu Nos. 5 and 6 Blocks, situated in Blocks XIII, XIV, and XV, Maungawaru Survey District, and I, II, III, V, VI, VII, VIII, XI, and XII, Arowhana Survey District, and being the balance of the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 61, folio 43, Gisborne Registry.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 13th day of June, 1930.

Member appointed to Kirk's Bush Scenic Board.

WHEREAS by a Warrant dated the tenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, and published in the Gazette of the seventeenth day of that month, the control of a certain reserve in the North Auckland Land District, known as the Kirk's Bush Scenic Reserve, was vested in certain persons therein named, who were by the said Warrant constituted a special Board by the name of the Kirk's Bush Scenic Board, in pursuance of section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908: And whereas it is desirable that Ernest Hosking should be appointed a member of the said Board in place of Harry Stuart Curtis, who has left the district:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby appoint the said Ernest Hosking

to be a member of the Kirk’s Bush Scenic Board constituted by the Warrant dated the tenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, hereinbefore referred to, in place of the said Harry Stuart Curtis.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 16th day of June, 1930.

Portion of a Primary-education Endowment in the Town of Greymouth set apart as a Site for a Technical School.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by section thirty-three of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, it is enacted that the Governor-General may, on the recommendation of the Land Board of the district in which are situated any reserves or endowments vested in the Crown by or in pursuance of section two of the Education Reserves Amendment Act, 1910, or of section twenty-two of the first-mentioned Act, set apart as sites for public schools, secondary schools, or technical schools any part of such reserves or endowments:

And whereas the Land Board of the Westland Land District has duly passed a resolution recommending that the portion of the primary-education endowment described in the Schedule hereto should be set apart as a site for a technical school, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation :

Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Acts aforesaid, do hereby set apart the portion of the primary-education endowment described in the Schedule hereto as a site for a technical school (Greymouth).

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 38·38 perches, more or less, being Reserve 1009, Town of Greymouth, and being Subdivisions 1, 2, and 3, and part Subdivision 4 of Education Endowment Reserve No. 112. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 6/6/219a, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 3rd day of June, 1930.

Notifying Lands in Wellington Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

N pursuant of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Land Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Monday, the twenty-eighth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, as the time at which the lands described in the First, Second, and Third Schedules hereto shall be sold by public auction for cash only, and the land in the Fourth Schedule for cash or on deferred payments; and I do hereby fix the price at which the said land shall be sold as that mentioned in the said Schedules hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

TOWN LAND.

Kaitieke County.—Town of Kakahi.

For sale for Cash only.

SECTION 13, Block III : Area, 1 rood. Upset price, £7 10s. Weighted with the sum of £2 10s., for improvements comprising 5 chs. of boundary-fencing. This sum is payable in cash. A level section situated in the Township of Kakahi.

Section 6, Block V : Area, 1 rood. Upset price, £10. A level section, situated in the Township of Kakahi, with frontage to Pitotahi Street.

Kaitieke County.—Kakahi Township.

Section 17, Block III : Area, 1 rood. Upset price, £5. Weighted with £2 10s., for improvements consisting of fencing. This sum is payable in cash on the fall of the hammer.

Situated in the Township of Kakahi, half a mile by good road from Kakahi Railway-station.
