Order in Council consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £128
by the Bruce County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 6th day
of June, 1930.

Present:
THE HONOURABLE G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Bruce County Council (hereinafter called
“the said local authority”) proposes to borrow, in
accordance with the provisions of section three of the Main
Highways Amendment Act, 1928, the sum of four hundred
and twenty-eight pounds, by a loan to be known as “Taieri
River Bridge Loan, 1930,” for the purpose of meeting the
Council’s proportion of the cost of repairs to the Taieri River
Bridge at Henley on the Dunedin-Invercargill Main High-
way:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred on him by the Local Government Loans Board
Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling
him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the
said local authority of the sum of four hundred and twenty-
eight pounds for a term of three years, at such rate or rates
of interest as shall not produce to the lenders a rate exceeding
the rate of five pounds fifteen shillings per centum per annum,
upon terms of making the said sum, together with interest
thereon, repayable by instalments extending over a period of
three years.

License authorizing Wallace Jacentho, of Oruru, Mangonui,
Motor-mechanic, to erect Electric Lines in Portion of the
Mangonui County known as Oruru.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 6th day
of June, 1930.

Present:
THE HONOURABLE G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the
Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in
anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize Wallace Jacentho,
of Oruru, Mangonui, Motor-mechanic, to lay, construct, put
up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule
hereto on the following conditions.

CONDITIONS.

  1. PURPOSES OF LINES.

THE said lines may be used for lighting, power, and heating
purposes.

  1. LICENSES TO BE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS.

The license hereby conferred is subject to compliance by
the licensee with the regulations made under section 2 of the
Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, on the 11th day of
July, 1927, and published in the Gazette on the 12th day of
the same month at page 2360 (hereinafter called “the said
regulations”), and with all regulations hereafter made in
amendment thereof or in substitution therefor.

  1. SYSTEM OF SUPPLY.

The system of supply shall be the system described in
paragraph (c) of clause 5 of the said regulations.

  1. GENERATING VOLTAGE.

Electrical energy shall be generated at a pressure of 32
volts between terminals.

  1. DURATION OF LICENSE.

This license shall, unless sooner determined, whether by
surrender by the licensee or by revocation under the pro-
visions contained in the said regulations or in any amending
or substituted regulations, continue in force for a period of
twenty-one years from the date hereof.

  1. PURCHASE OF INSTALLATION BY ELECTRIC-POWER
    BOARD OR CROWN.

Any Electric-power Board duly constituted in terms of the
Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, or any Act passed in amend-
ment thereof or in substitution therefor, if its district includes
the area in which are erected the lines described in the
Schedule hereto, or the Crown shall have the right, at any
time during the currency of this license, to purchase and take
over the licensee’s installation at a valuation to be agreed upon
between the said Board or the Crown, as the case may be,
and the licensee; and, failing such agreement, at a valuation
to be fixed by a single arbitrator to be appointed pursuant
to the provisions of the Arbitration Act, 1908, and thereupon
the Governor-General may by Order in Council revoke this
license.

  1. EFFECT OF DETERMINATION OF LICENSE.

The determination of this license, whether by expiration of
time, by surrender, or by revocation as aforesaid, shall not
relieve the licensee from any liability theretofore incurred
under this license.

  1. RAILWAY AND TELEGRAPH LINES.

The licensee shall, from time to time, rectify to the satis-
faction of the Minister of Railways and Minister of Telegraphs
respectively any interference or disturbance caused by the
erecton or operation of the licensee’s system that affects
the satisfactory working of any telegraph-line which is under
the control of or in use by the Railway Department and the
Post and Telegraph Department respectively, and which was
erected before the erection of the lines hereby licensed.

  1. REQUIREMENTS OF MANGONUI COUNTY COUNCIL.

Notwithstanding anything hereinbefore contained, the
licensee shall not, by virtue of these presents, be entitled to
lay, construct, put up, place, or use the electric lines hereby
authorized except subject to such conditions, not inconsistent
with the provisions of this license or of the said regulations
or any regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof
or in substitution therefor, as may from time to time law
fully be imposed by the Mangonui County Council.

  1. ROUTES RESERVED FOR GOVERNMENT LINES.

Notwithstanding anything hereinbefore contained the
licensee shall not, without the consent in writing of the Minis-
ter of Public Works, erect any electric lines along the routes
of the Government main trunk transmission-lines.

  1. CHARGES FOR ELECTRICAL ENERGY.

The charges for electrical energy shall not exceed 1s. 6d.
per unit for lighting, motor power, heating, or cooking purposes.

SCHEDULE.

LINES adapted for supply as prescribed in these presents for
the transmission of electricity, from point to point along the
route indicated by a red line on the plan marked P.W.D.
73742, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public
Works at Wellington.

The South-western Side of Portion of Irwin’s Road, in the
County of Southland, exempted from the Provisions of Sec-
tion 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition
as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 6th day of
June, 1930.

Present:
THE HONOURABLE G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the
Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in
anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following
resolution passed by the Southland County Council on the
fourteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and
thirty, viz.:

“The Southland County Council, being the local authority
having control of a road situated in Glenham Settlement
known as Irwin’s Road, which said road forms the north-east
boundary of Section 12A, Glenham Settlement, hereby
resolves that the provisions of subsection one of section one
