Order in Council consenting to the Raising of a Loan of
Β£16,400 by the Wanganui Fire Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 6th day of June, 1930.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Wanganui Fire Board (hereinafter called "the said local authority") is desirous of raising the sum of sixteen thousand four hundred pounds by a loan to be known as "Renewal Loan, 1930," for the purpose of redeeming the outstanding liability in respect of a loan of twenty thousand pounds maturing first July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty:
And whereas the said local authority has complied with the provisions of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926 (hereinafter called "the said Act"), and it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council under the said Act should be given to the raising of the said loan on the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth:
And whereas the Minister of Finance has given his precedent consent as required by section one hundred and fourteen of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926 (hereinafter called "the said section"), to the borrowing by the said local authority of the said sum of sixteen thousand four hundred pounds, at a rate or rates of interest being such as shall not produce to the lenders a rate exceeding the rate of five pounds fifteen shillings per centum per annum:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and by section one hundred and fourteen of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of the said loan up to the amount of sixteen thousand four hundred pounds for a term of ten years, at such rate or rates of interest as shall not produce to the lenders a rate exceeding the rate of five pounds fifteen shillings per centum per annum, subject to the condition that the said local authority shall, before borrowing the said sum or any part thereof, make provisions for the repayment thereof by establishing a sinking fund under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and shall thereafter make to such sinking fund payments at intervals of not more than one year, at a rate or rates which shall be not less than the rate of three pounds per centum, such payments to be made in respect of every part of the said sum for the time being so borrowed and not repaid, and the first payment to be made not later than one year after the first day from which interest to the lender is computed on any moneys so borrowed.

Order in Council consenting to the Raising of a Loan by the Hokitika Fire Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of June, 1930.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Hokitika Fire Board (hereinafter called "the said local authority") is desirous of raising by way of bank overdraft the sum of two hundred and fifty pounds for the purpose of purchasing a "Buick" fire-tender, with pump and hose, from the Napier Fire Board:
And whereas the said local authority has complied with the provisions of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926 (hereinafter called "the said Act"), and it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council under the said Act should be given to the raising of the said loan on the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of the said loan by way of bank overdraft up to the amount of two hundred and fifty pounds for a term of three years, at such rate or rates of interest as shall not produce to the lenders a rate exceeding current bank overdraft rates, subject to the condition that the local authority shall repay not less than one hundred pounds in each of the financial years ending thirty-first March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, and thirty-first March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, and the balance of the overdraft in the financial year ending thirty-first March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three.

Order in Council consenting to the Raising on the Instalment-repayment System of the Sum of Β£3,000 by the Kaiapoi Borough Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 6th day of June, 1930.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Kaiapoi Borough Council (hereinafter called "the said local authority") has been authorized to borrow the sum of three thousand pounds by a loan to be known as "Main Road Paving Loan, 1930," and the said sum has not yet been borrowed:
And whereas the said local authority is desirous of raising the said sum of three thousand pounds on the instalment-repayment system, extending over a period not exceeding twenty years:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section thirty-two of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and by section eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the borrowing by the said local authority of the said sum of three thousand pounds upon terms of making the same, together with interest thereon, repayable by instalments extending over a period not exceeding twenty years.

WHEREAS the Waihi Fire Board (hereinafter called "the said local authority") is desirous of raising by way of bank overdraft the sum of two hundred and fifty pounds for the purpose of purchasing a new fire-engine:
And whereas the said local authority has complied with the provisions of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926 (hereinafter called "the said Act"), and it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council under the said Act should be given to the raising of the said loan on the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of the said loan by way of bank overdraft up to the amount of two hundred and fifty pounds for a term of five years, at such rate or rates of interest as shall not produce to the lenders a rate exceeding current bank overdraft rates, subject to the condition that the moneys so borrowed shall be repaid by annual instalments of not less than sixty pounds in each of the first four years, and the balance in the fifth year of the currency of the loan.
