Revocation of Appointment of Cemetery Trustees, Glenore Public Cemetery.—(H.C. 70.)

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section four of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke a certain Warrant, dated the twenty-eighth day of August, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the same date at page 1303, appointing trustees for the Glenore Public Cemetery as described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

GLENORE PUBLIC CEMETERY.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres, more or less, and being part of Section 7, Block L, Tokomairiro District: Bounded towards the north-west by the other part of the said Section 7, 502 links; towards the north-east by a road-line, 798 links ; towards the south-east by a road-line, 502 links; and towards the south-west by other part of the said Section 7, 798 links.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 23rd day of May, 1930.

Appointment of Member of Medical Council under Medical Practitioners Act, 1914.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section three of the Medical Practitioners Act, 1914, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby reappoint John Patrick Daunt Leahy, C.B.E., M.B., and M. Surg., Univ. Sydney, 1892 ; D.P.H., Camb., 1899, to be a member of the Medical Council under the aforesaid Act.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 24th day of May, 1930.

PURSUANT to the authority vested in me by the Cook Islands Act, 1915, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Harold Herbert Carr, Esquire, to be Deputy Resident Commissioner of Rarotonga, from the 27th May, 1930, to hold the said office during my pleasure.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 24th day of May, 1930.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons set out in the Schedule hereto, being persons holding the office of Postmaster under the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928, at the places set opposite their names in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

Postmaster appointed to take and receive Statutory Declarations.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by section three hundred and one of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that George Lyall McLean, being a person holding the office of Accountant, Chief Post-office, Dunedin, is authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

THE Public Service Commissioner has made the following appointments in the Public Service:

George William Clinkard to be General Manager of the Tourist and Health Resorts Department for the purposes of the Tourist and Health Resorts Control Act, 1908, and Secretary of the Department of Industries and Commerce, as from the 14th day of April, 1930.

William Pickering Hope, to be Registrar of Marriages and Registrar of Births and Deaths for the District of Mount Cook, as from the 14th day of May, 1930.

Kenneth McKenzie, to be Registrar of Births and Deaths of Maoris at Te Araroa, as from the 23rd day of April, 1930.

John Thomas McCowan, to be Registrar of Births and Deaths of Maoris at Whakarewarewa, as from the 23rd day of April, 1930.

Arthur Fowler to be Examiner of Titles at Wellington, pursuant to the provisions of section 4 of the Land Transfer Act, 1915, as from the 28th day of March, 1930.

ERIC NELSON ROWLEY, Esquire, of Sydney, New South Wales, a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, has this day been appointed by the Honourable Sir Michael Myers, K.C.M.G., Chief Justice of New Zealand, a Commissioner of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in New South Wales under the 47th section of the Judicature Act, 1908, for the purpose of administering and taking all such oaths, affidavits, and affirmations as in the said section mentioned.
