Section 4, Block VIII: Area, 800 acres. Capital value, £3,400. Half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £110 10s. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £85.

Areas and values subject to slight alteration on completion of survey.

This block, ranging in altitude from 300 ft. to 1,650 ft. above sea-level, is all in heavy bush, comprising chiefly tawa, with a few scattered rimu, matai, and kahikatea. The soil is good, on papa and stony formation. Steep to undulating, with flat areas along the Mangaoporo and Poroporo Streams, and is well watered by streams. Suitable for sheep and cattle raising. Three sections are situated on the Mangaoporo Stream; access by the Hurakia Road, about ten miles from Ruatoria and seven miles from Native school.

Balance of the sections on Poroporo Stream; access from Tikitiki, about eight miles by clay-road. Post-office and Native school at Tikitiki. Soil good on papa and stony formation, liable to slip in parts as the bush is cleared.

Section 1, Block VII, Mangaoporo Survey District: Area, 1,319 acres.

Situated on the Poroporo Stream, about eight miles from Tikitiki Post-office and school. All in heavy bush, comprising chiefly tawa, with few rimu and matai. Soil fair to good, on papa formation; some small flats along Poroporo Stream. Altitude, 400 ft. to 1,650 ft. above sea-level. Well watered by streams.

Section 2, Block VII, Mangaoporo Survey District: Area, 1,344 acres.

Situated on the Mangaoporo Stream, about ten miles from Ruatoria and seven miles from Native school.

Access by Hurakia Road, about seven miles from Main East Coast Road. All in heavy bush, comprising chiefly tawa, with few rimu, matai, and kahikatea. Small area flat on Mangaoporo Stream. Soil light on high level but good on balance of block on papa formation. Altitude, 300 ft. to 800 ft. above sea-level. Well watered by streams.

Section 3, Block VII, Mangaoporo Survey District: Area, 823 acres.

Situated on the Mangaoporo Stream, about ten miles from Ruatoria and seven miles from the main Waiapu Road and Native school. All in heavy bush, comprising chiefly tawa, with scattered rimu, matai, and kahikatea.

About 50 acres river flat on stony formation; balance undulating to steep in parts; good soil on papa formation. Altitude, 300 ft. to 800 ft. above sea-level. Well watered by streams.

Section 4, Block VII, Mangaoporo Survey District: Area, 1,030 acres.

Situated on the Mangaoporo Stream, about ten miles from Ruatoria and seven miles from the Waiapu Main Coast Road and Native school. About 30 acres flat along Mangaoporo Stream; balance undulating to steep. Good soil on papa and stony formation; all in heavy bush, except about 30 acres along the Pakira boundary. Chiefly tawa, few scattered rimu and kahikatea. Altitude, 300 ft. to 800 ft. above sea-level. Well watered by streams.

Section 4, Block VIII, Mangaoporo Survey District: Area, 800 acres.

Situated on the Poroporo Stream; access from Tikitiki, about eight miles by clay-road. All in heavy bush, except about 30 acres in second growth. Bush chiefly tawa, with good soil on papa formation; good easy ridges. Well watered by streams. Altitude, 300 ft. to 800 ft. above sea-level.

Declaring Road-line intersecting Land in Wilden Settlement, Otago Land District, to be closed, and the Land comprised therein to be subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

WHEREAS a report has been received from the Surveyor-General, from which it appears that the road described in the Schedule hereto is unformed and unused, and that the said road intersects land acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1925 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), and is not suitable to the subdivision of such land:

Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section one hundred and six of the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby close the road hereinafter described; and I do hereby declare that the land comprised in the said road shall thereupon become subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the portion of road to be closed: 3 roods 2 perches.

Passing through Section 1.

Situated in Block VI, Crookston Survey District, in the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 21/149/928, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2373, and thereon coloured green.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 22nd day of May, 1930.

Authorizing the Matamata County Council to sell Stone upon Portion of a certain County Road in the Matamata County.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by section one hundred and forty of the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby authorize the Matamata County Council to sell or contract to sell and remove stone upon portion of a certain county road adjoining the southern boundary of Section 30, Block XV, Patetere North Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 78327, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 24th day of May, 1930.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section fifty-five of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the Bruce County Council to be trustees of the Glenore Public Cemetery as described in the Schedule hereto, and to have the control and management of the said cemetery.

GLENORE PUBLIC CEMETERY.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres, more or less, and being part of Section 7, Block L, Tokomairiro District: Bounded towards the north-west by the other part of the said Section 7, 502 links; towards the north-east by a road-line, 798 links; towards the south-east by a road-line, 502 links; and towards the south-west by other part of the said Section 7, 798 links.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 23rd day of May, 1930.
