Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries of the Borough of Sumner.

Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 30th April, 1930.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to his Excellency the Governor-General, under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be excluded from the Borough of Sumner and included in the County of Heathcote. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration of boundaries which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

AREA PROPOSED TO BE EXCLUDED FROM BOROUGH OF SUMNER AND INCLUDED IN COUNTY OF HEATHCOTE.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the Lyttelton Borough boundary, being the intersection of the east boundary of Rural Section 33906 with the south boundary of Lot 1 on plan 4018, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Christchurch; and proceeding thence easterly and north-easterly along the southern boundary of the said Lot 1 to the western side of Captain Thomas’s Road; thence along the western side of Captain Thomas’s Road generally north-easterly to the south-eastern corner of Rural Section 20722; thence north-westerly along the south-west boundary of the said Rural Section 20722 and of Rural Section 152 to a point on the south-east boundary of Lot 7, shown on deposited plan 2827; thence north-easterly, south-westerly, north-westerly, and again south-westerly along the boundary of the said Lot 7 to its junction with the boundary of Lot 6, shown on the said deposited plan 2827; thence north-westerly and south-westerly along the north-east and north-west boundaries of the said Lot 6 to a point on the north-east boundary of Lot 1 on deposited plan 4018 aforesaid; thence north-westerly, north-easterly, westerly, and again southerly and westerly along the boundary of the said Lot 1 to the boundary of the County of Heathcote; thence south-westerly along the boundary of the said county to its junction with the boundary of the Borough of Lyttelton; thence south-easterly and south-westerly along the boundary of the said Borough of Lyttelton to the commencing-point.

Notice respecting Proposed Constitution of Borough of Huntly.

Wellington, 30th April, 1930.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be constituted as the Borough of Huntly. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed constitution of such borough which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

AREA PROPOSED TO BE CONSTITUTED AS THE BOROUGH OF HUNTLY.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District situated in the Rangiriri Survey District, bounded towards the north-east by the road forming the north-eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 14B, 14, and 13, Taupiri Parish, to the easternmost corner of the last-mentioned section; thence towards the east by the eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 13, 10, 8, and 2, Taupiri Parish, to a public road; thence across that road to the north-eastern corner of Section No. 50; thence by the eastern boundary of the said Section No. 50 to Lake Hakanoa; thence by that lake, the eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 51, 52, across a road, the eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 53, 54, 55, and 56, across a road, and the eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 57, 58, and 59, Taupiri Parish, to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section; thence towards the south by the southern boundary of that section, crossing the railway-line and a public road, to the Waikato River; and thence towards the west generally by the Waikato River to the place of commencement.

By-laws of the Opotiki Borough Council confirmed under the By-laws Act, 1910.

THE following certificate has been executed on the sealed copy of the by-laws made by the Opotiki Borough Council on the 29th day of October, 1929.

IN pursuance of the By-laws Act, 1910, I hereby confirm the within written by-laws, and declare that the same came into force on the 30th day of November, 1929.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Road of less Width than 66 ft.

WHEREAS, in the opinion of the Minister of Lands, it is inexpedient, by reason of the fact that the land shown upon the plan of Town of Fendalton Extension No. 33 affecting part Rural Sections 60 and 188, in Block X, Christchurch Survey District, is intended to be used wholly for residential purposes, that the new road shown therein should be of the width of 66 ft.:

Now, therefore, I, George William Forbes, Minister of Lands, do hereby, in pursuance of the power conferred upon me by section 17, subsection (1), of the Land Act, 1924, and of every other power me thereunto enabling, authorize the lay-off of such road of a width of not less than 50 ft.: Provided always that it shall not be lawful for any person to erect or cause to be erected any building at a less distance than 33 ft. from the middle of such road.

Given under my hand, this 6th day of May, 1930.

NOTE.—This authority is issued in lieu of the authority dated the 8th day of April, 1930, and published in Gazette, No. 27, of the 10th April, 1930, authorizing the laying-off of a road in the Town of Fendalton Extension No. 14A of a width less than 66 ft. but not less than 50 ft.

Authorizing the Laying-off of Roads of less Width than 66 ft.

WHEREAS, in the opinion of the Minister of Lands, it is inexpedient, by reason of the fact that the land shown upon the plan of Town of Penrose Extension No. 64, affecting part Section 12, Suburbs of Auckland, in Blocks I, II, and VI, Otahuhu Survey District, is intended to be used wholly for residential purposes, that the roads shown Rata, Tawa, Miro, and Pine Streets, Rewa, View, Karaka, and Outlook Roads, Oak Way, Matai Place, and Rimu Avenue, therein should be of the width of 66 ft.

Now, therefore, I, George William Forbes, Minister of Lands, do hereby, in pursuance of the power conferred upon me by section 17, subsection (1), of the Land Act, 1924, and of every other power me thereunto enabling, authorize the laying-off of such roads of a width of not less than 40 ft.: Provided always that it shall not be lawful for any person to erect or cause to be erected any building at a less distance than 33 ft. from the middle of such roads.

Given under my hand, this 6th day of May, 1930.

WHEREAS, in the opinion of the Minister of Lands, it is inexpedient, by reason of the fact that the land shown upon the plan of Town of Paraparaumu Extension No. 3 affecting parts of Sections 8 and 7, Sub. 3, in Block III, Ngarara West B Block, Kapiti Survey District, is intended to be used wholly for residential purposes, that Golf Road, Mackay, George, Arthur, Douglas, and Webber Streets shown therein should be of the width of 66 ft.

Now, therefore, I, George William Forbes, Minister of Lands, do hereby, in pursuance of the power conferred upon me by section 17, subsection (1), of the Land Act, 1924, and of every other power me thereunto enabling, authorize the laying-off of Golf Road and Mackay Street, of a width of 60 ft., George Street and Arthur Street of a width of 50 ft., Douglas Street and Webber Street of a width of 40 ft.: Provided always that it shall not be lawful for any person to erect or cause to be erected any building at a less distance than 33 ft. from the middle of such roads.

Given under my hand this 6th day of May, 1930.
