Classification of Roads in Lake County.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Motor-lorry Regulations, 1927, and their amendments, I, William Andrew Veitch, Minister of Transport, do hereby approve of the Lake County Council’s proposed classification of roads as set forth in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

LAKE COUNTY.

Roads classified in the Second Class: Available for the use thereon of any motor-lorry which with the load it is carrying weighs not more than 8 tons:—

Queenstown to Arrowtown boundary, via Arthurs Point.
Kingston to Black Bridge.
Zig-zag to Vincent County boundary, via Pembroke.
Lake Hayes to Arrowtown boundary.
Nokomai to Nokomai Saddle.
Fairlight to Cainard.

Roads classified in the Third Class: Available for the use thereon of any motor-lorry which with the load it is carrying weighs not more than 6 tons:—

Skippers Road, from junction of Arthurs Point Road.
Dan O’Connell Road.
Glenorchy to Paradise.
Watts Road.
Macetown Road.
Pembroke to Mt. Aspiring.
Pembroke to Mt. Barker.
Garston to Nevis.

The Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22.—Amended Notice specifying the Combined District of Auckland.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 13 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, I, William Andrew Veitch, Minister of Labour, do hereby specify that the Combined District of Auckland comprises the City of Auckland, the Boroughs of Birkenhead, Devonport, Mount Albert, Mount Eden, New Lynn, Newmarket, Northcote, Onehunga, One Tree Hill, Otahuhu and Takapuna, and the Town Districts of Ellerslie, Glen Eden, Henderson, and Papatoetoe.

The amended notice, published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 21st December, 1922, specifying the Combined District of Auckland, is hereby cancelled, and the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 1st March, 1928, applying section 31 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, to various combined and separate districts is hereby cancelled in respect of the combined district of Otahuhu and Papatoetoe.

Prohibition of issue of Money-orders and transmission of Postal Correspondence for French Art Studios, 20 Martin Place, Sydney.

THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, having reasonable ground for supposing that the firm or organization whose name and address are shown in the Schedule hereunder, is engaged in an obscene or immoral business, it is hereby ordered under section 32 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928, that no money-order in favour of the said firm shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to the said firm (either by its own or any fictitious or assumed name) or addressed to the address in the Schedule hereunder without a name, shall be either registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.

Fanuatapu Island Light discontinued indefinitely.

Position: Lat. 13° 59′ S., long. 171° 22′ W. (approx.).

Details: This light, which was reported as not showing in March, 1930, has not been relighted. Information now to hand states that it is not intended to re-exhibit this light at present.
